The main reasoning we chose his score when it all started, was because if he was reset to 1000, or as you suggested (I think) 0, then we would be harming every other account that he beats as he makes his way up the scoreboard, winning more points then he should be, and losing less.
Allow me to say this is a really really stupid reason, since there is no harm AT ALL in losing 30 to 50 points in one game facing him while he is making his way up the scoreboard.
Incredibly insane that there is people complaining when they lose point against someone skilled with a low rank.
What are 50 points to your ranking? Just nothing, that's crap, I lose and win per week way more than 50 points.
It's not like he will win 3000 points back against one person.
Otherwise, please stop thinking that "unranked games" are only a request coming from high ranked that want to keep their rank.
It is of course the reason why I am proposing it, but several lower rank have proposed it in the past if you look at the suggestions.
And also consider, it's not like I don't want to risk points because I love so much my colonel rank, and it's such an achievement in my life.
It's more like I want to be able to play really stupid games without losing hundreds of point for fun.
I don't mind risking my points against a bunch of lower rank in many tournaments.
But I do mind risking my points on a 1vs1 classic flat rate 2min speed against a cook. especially if I gonna play 50 times a day this 1vs1 classic speed 2 min flat rate.
Because let's face it, 1vs1 classic flat rate has nothing to do with strategy but everything to do with luck, I can beat anyone, and anyone can beat me playing classic 1vs1 flat rate.
But it's a game that fill pretty quikly when you want to play a speed, and that is played quite fast. On the other hand, a 6 player escalating classic speed required much more time to fill, and is at least 20 times longer to play.
So on one hand I can keep my rank which is mainly due to skills and has been gained playing against various opposant on various maps and setting by playing those 5 to 8 escalating speed. But I have no time to play them and most of the time there is no player to play them
So if I want to play some speed I
have to play some stupid 1vs1 classic ( or doodle or luxembourg or whatever other map, 1vs1 is anyway mainly luck on 90% of the available maps ). And that way you screw your rank in 2 hours if all your opponent have a score which is less than 1800 while you are having a score closed to 2500 or more.
I know it I have been doing it for months.
And that's why I am asking unranked game.
And don't tell me playing 1vs1 classic speed unranked will destroy the scoreboard or will make me a bad farmer. There is nothing to do with it.
And if some people are concerned with that :
The main reasoning we chose his score when it all started, was because if he was reset to 1000, or as you suggested (I think) 0, then we would be harming every other account that he beats as he makes his way up the scoreboard, winning more points then he should be, and losing less.
Even if I think it's stupid, they should be concerned by the fact that if I play speed my rank will go down to 2000 in a week, while my average ranking is closer to brigadier. So I guess I would be harming people every day doing my way up the scoreboard with complex map, then going down with the classic 1vs1.
