I agree with you entirely. Do note that I didn't criticise any map selections.IcePack wrote:Everyone has an opinion on maps and their "luck factor". I'm sure TOFU could play us on Lunar War and "luckily" beat us 80 times out of a 100. I'm sure there are a few maps that others would also consider lucky that we could play and do the same thing. So I find the notion of it being luck based (on either side) amusing, if it was all luck you would expect to see it much closer over time.iAmCaffeine wrote: The point is the hypocrisy of criticising another clan's home maps whilst fielding similarly luck-based ones yourselves. I'm unfamiliar with this type of term and therefore don't know how to react. I apologise if this is not fulfilling.Dako wrote:iAmCaffeine please don't go. I enjoy your posts and this thread is too quiet anyway.
Everyone gets frustrated with the luck involved in these games, even more so if the occurrence takes place on a map where the dice can play a much more significant factor. I simply posted due to the hypocrisy oozing out on all sides. For example, we lost Pot Mosbi to OSA due to two dice fails; the latter and more important of which was a 10v6 (not guaranteed, evidently) which would've eliminated a stack of 30+ by killing a player, who would then not have been able to kill another member of our team.nolefan5311 wrote:Glad I could apparently jump start this thread.
And it was a moment of frustration, seeing TOFU players grab 7 regions on their first turn to me and my partner grabbing 3 and effectively ending the game before it could get started. Lunar War is one of those "lucky" maps, there really isn't a question about it, when good one good turn of dice can jump your deploy from 3 to 9. I'm not going to debate City Mogul or WWII Poland because I don't much play those maps, but my experiences on Poland is that it's just like any other conquest map. And more to the point, my comment wasn't so much chastising TOFU for picking that map as it was general annoyance after a loss on a map I think is silly.
As far as our favorite CC5 spectator is concerned, he does nothing more than sit in waiting for a Fallen member to post so he can chime in to defend whatever clan we happen to be facing. He sat there in the LHDD thread for weeks giving Fallen members shit, and he's doing the same thing here. It would be different if he had substantive input about the war in general, perhaps some running commentary about wins and losses or close games or something. Instead, he just wants to be a pain in the ass.

Seems like you are jealous to our claniAmCaffeine wrote:Well said, especially from a clan using City Mogul and two lots of WWII Poland.nolefan5311 wrote:Lunar War is the dumbest map ever. Hey, lets hope for amazing dice on our first turns so that we can grab our bases before the opponent. If we get great dice on the first turn it's guaranteed win. If we don't its almost a guaranteed loss.

We had 3 dice-fails(in the first 3-4 rounds) to eliminate orange in Pot Mosbi game we previously woniAmCaffeine wrote:For example, we lost Pot Mosbi to OSA due to two dice fails
You should not comment our game choices, your clan already burn from thembetiko wrote:he is right though. It's pretty funny to hear that comment from your clan given all your home maps involving first turn drop, and his examples are perfect. There is no flaming in his comment, he's just giving his opinion, chill out.nolefan5311 wrote:Why don't you go away? You were asked to leave the LHDD thread alone because all you were doing was flaming, and now you're popping up here to flame again.iAmCaffeine wrote:Well said, especially from a clan using City Mogul and two lots of WWII Poland.nolefan5311 wrote:Lunar War is the dumbest map ever. For some reason every time I see your name I think of lead foot. I think you would make an awesome duo.rockfist wrote:To be fair at least two of the dice fails were less than 50%. I agree you should've taken out Orange earlier but when you did you were less than 50% to do so. And Red had extremely good dice in his last round against me and I had terrible dice in my last round so we'll call the luck even say gg and move on.

Very cool! Hahaha funny how that worksrockfist wrote:My brother, who used to play this game had that nickname. And we did make a good doubles team. I used to play with him and a couple of his colleagues, one of which andyr601 I believe was in your clan.

Jealous of what? I have no reason to be jealous of you or the clan you're in. I could justify my reasoning but for you, of all people, I had to force myself even to respond.GoranZ wrote:Seems like you are jealous to our claniAmCaffeine wrote:Well said, especially from a clan using City Mogul and two lots of WWII Poland.nolefan5311 wrote:Lunar War is the dumbest map ever. I'll give numbers but others might not agreerockfist wrote:Fall will likely be ahead after the first batch but it should be managable. It's 7-6 right now them, not 7-4.
I think the second batch looks better than the first for us.

Missed 1, add a neutral / kinda leaning TOFUrockfist wrote:I don't 100% agree but I don't see anything in that where I'd say its shockingly wrong, although there are 20 games in the 2nd set not 19.

I knew I'd made a positive post towards the Fallen somewhere!iAmCaffeine wrote:Saw that coming. Triple 6 knows what he's doing.IcePack wrote:TOG has Fallen! 2-2
