Since I did not know what this is:

A Scotch egg is a whole soft or hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and baked or deep-fried.

fair point. not my bag, but they do seem to be quite popular.

To me, deviled eggs are served at social gatherings and outdoor cookouts with lots of guests; things that have been banned of late.

Really great scotch eggs are difficult to find.

Devilled eggs are hard boiled then prepared into something particular. Vote accordingly.
