These are the reasons why CC should combine some of the facets of Dungeon and Dragons character generation with the simplistic strategic gameplay of Risk. It would be new and FUN! Dungeon&Dragons and ConquerClub...the two would meld together perfectly! Though it wouldn't be really considered Risk anymore, but a Hybrid version of the two. Also would be a major undertaking to program. But if it ever sees the light of day...I am playing it!RobinJ wrote:I have to agree that there are some maps out there that just don't work:
Chinese Checkers: just too symmetrical, although it isn't so bad for team games
Crossword: Everything about it sucks
Indochina: nice graphics now it has been updated but the playability still isn't great
Ireland: playability isn't great and the graphics could be better
Montreal: still looks crap (why do we even have a map of Montreal when there are so many other bigger cities?)
Pearl Harbour: Graphics and the idea is fantastic. However, there is just far too much happening - can't understand it. Hopefully I will come to like it as time goes on
Rail USA: just far too abstract and doesn't make for a good game. I hope Rail Europe does not get quenched
US Senate: So symmetrical that the games are just boring
A few other iffy ones like AOM and Space but they're all right once you learn how to play them
Don't know why some of the other maps are getting a beating though. I love Discworld and D-Day for example.
