Im a reasonable case study as at the age of 47 I have been abusing myself in many ways for over 30 years yet these days am positively boring in that respect. I have extensively sampled various types of narcotics including opiates and spent years gorging on massive amounts of coke, but never once came close to being addicted. I could get stoned for a week,stop, then not even think about it until I fancied getting stoned again,that was often many months. My job involved entertaining clients and I was a huge drinker but nowadays I only have the very occasional beer, cigarretes though are a different matter - to them I am addicted.
The fact is that the nature of addiction depends on the particular substance and the individual,some crave chocolate but I loathe it for example. To blandly state that everybody who takes drugs is an addict is
amazingly stupid given the medicinal nature of them, am I addicted if I take heroin for pleasure yet not if I take Morphine for pain relief

Well, pursuing heroin to the exclusion of every other life goal might not be a short term negative health effect but isnt very good for you. Heroin is very addictive to some and the withdrawl symptoms can be fatal. That said, Heroin is actually quite mild when snorted rather than taken intravenously.

This is quite possibly the most small-minded, bigoted statement I've ever heard Mr. rider of the High Horse. What the f*ck difference does it make to you if some of the people that post here occasionally indulge in illicit substance use? None. Do we push it on you and/or try to make you become a 'user', certainly not. Do we speak of nothing but the use of said substances? Again, certainly not.

Our choices are exactly that, our choices. Not once have any of us pro-drug types recommended that a non-user do it nor have we said that it's even a good choice. And by saying all people who get stoned occasionally are addicts you've proven you're idiocy to the highest degree. Granted there is a fine line, but a line exists none-the-less.

I have a friend, named Blake, in maine that pulled a funny prank.. He realized his buddy Nate wasn't there and it was Nate's house Blake was staying over for a sleep over.. Nate had gone to MCcdonalds where he knew his G/F would be working..

So Blake decided to go see what Nate was up to and it was fall I think September if I remember right.. Blake took 2 of his buddies and he had a copy of Nate's car key.. Their town is about 15 blocks long in total.. Nate lived on the other side of town. Blake took Nate's car and parked it back in Nates drive way and walked the 15 blocks back to get his car.. Waited 5 minutes in the parking lot and when Nate came out Blake was basically like "Thats what you get for bailing on your friends when you've known them since you were 5 and not telling them "Hey, I'll be right back".

So Nate got back home walked the 15 blocks and found his whole car had been TP'd and done up in shaving cream. (Even the side mirrors.. every thing including inside the trunk, and back seats.)


Although I've wondered since then how he got that all out of his car..
But I thought it was kinda funny even though it was wrong at the same time in a way!
