i really like the look of this map... but i think some extra territs are need round the outside... and maybe a few 2-3 bonus continents for easy grabbability.

Also looks like it would be a good game

keep it up

yeah, we don't want easy grab conts since they tend to ruin the game often. for instance in no cards games the whole point is to capture auss or s america basically

Theres something to be said about simplicity like the original maps on CC we have all come to love
exactly my feeling.

I can't stand any maps with special rules, that's why we want a nice and simple london map. airports is a far as it'll go.

QFT

Where is the no airports option?

Sorry, i do not mean to be disruptive but maybe you could have a 'Tunnel'?
Rotherhide for example, in Southwark to north of the river?

And then, just as a little different feature, it could be under 'perpetual Fog' not even visible to those adjacent, just the two territories either side.

anyway I like the map so far mate.

I like the updates... but still the bonuses need to be thought through lol. Yellow had to hold 4 terits for only 2 armies.

Hi, just keeping a beady eye on the development of your London map, and have the following observations/thoughts:

1) What geography are you trying to represent? At the moment, you've got a hotch-potch of boroughs and amalgamated areas which, to my eye, looks a bit wrong.

2) If you're going to include London airports, then you need to put them in the right place - you can't just scatter them at random.

3) I like your background images, but the actual playable area doesn't gel with it at all; you need to find a way to make it all knit together. In addition to this, your continent labels are glaringly bright, and look out of place.

Apologies if this sounds a little negative; I'm just giving my opinion ;-)

As an aside, it's helpful to post your updaetd image in the thread as well as on the 1st post, so people can see which comments relate to which update without flicking to and fro :-)

yeah, we need to put textures and things on - hopefully then it will look better
MrBenn wrote:your continent labels are glaringly bright, and look out of place.
lol i know!! haha they look really bad, but i did that in 5 seconds because people were confused at the cont names and things, but thats going to be fixed
MrBenn wrote:Apologies if this sounds a little negative; I'm just giving my opinion ;-)
i think i would rather people give critisism than just say "lookin good ;) " or "keep up the good work ;) " or "nah crap"
so thanks Mr.Benn

Maps seems to small to me.... Needs more territories! I haven't been to London in a while but this doesn't seem very accurate as far as names go. e.g. Camden

In which case, you've missed a load out - mostly central London ones like "Kensington & Chelsea", for example.

2) If you're going to include London airports, then you need to put them in the right place - you can't just scatter them at random.

When I read this post last night I don't remember any discussion about airport locations, other than a map, which clearly showed the locations of Heathrow, London City Airport (inside London), and Gatwick (outside). Heathrow airport is right at the bottom of Hillingdon. There are no airports in Sutton or Havering that I know of... If you are going to have them, I still think you need to put them in the right place, or as near as possible. Gatwick is nearer Croydon than Sutton - straight down the A23/M23. London City Airport is more central, and right on the river (can't remember borough name off the top of my head).
