Actually, I had all intentions of going until my wife reminded me that we will be in Perth at that time for my daughters 16th birthday
I am still trying to work out how I can swing in a detour to Melbourne on a Sydney to Perth drive.Twill wrote:Pffft, 16th birthday....Board games....daughter....nerds....TeeGee wrote: Actually, I had all intentions of going until my wife reminded me that we will be in Perth at that time for my daughters 16th birthday
Why is there any question where your priorities lie?!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to fly over, with the fuel price being the way it is?TeeGee wrote:44 hours of driving in the car with NO internet- add in 2 short sleeps makes it about 54 hours all up... and thats just one way...have to do a return trip..... I'm already having internet withdrawals and its still a year away

cheaper and quicker
But I love that drive from east to west and back, its an adventure in itself.
Last nullabour crossing I eyeballed and eagle. we drove passed it sitting on a road kill (dead roo) and it would have been no more than 30cm from the side of the car as I slowly crept by. It didnt show any fear, instead it opened its wings to try and scare us off.
its not that we are being exclusive its just speed gamesFarawayXIV wrote:only to premium members eh? fair enough... would be fun though! to bad i'm in Brisbane...

I bet half of the extreme speed freestyle nerds don't have the guts to call someone they don't know a wanker when they are in the same room as them.
