i'm unclear how the group with the home maps works. first off, if we do have a home map, then it has to be a geographically sensible map? but for any game you play, you can choose to play classic instead? What if you don't want to play on somebody else's home map but they do? Also, if we have different choices for our home maps, could we switch part way through the season?

There are 2 groups, Group A and Group B
Group A are for those who only want to play on the Classic Map
for every game. Home team still decides game rules of that map (eg - Sequential, Chained, etc)
Group B are for those who want the option to play on a home map. In your case, pebble, being the manager of Netherlands, you could play on BeNeLux, Netherlands, Europe, or Classic. When you choose your home rules for your next upcoming home game, you can choose any of those maps, as well as the game rules. But, if you are in Group B and play an away game, the other manager chooses the map and rules.
Group A will play ALL games on Classic.
Group B will play games on whatever map the home team decides upon before the match. If you don't want to play on somebody elses home map, well, too bad, because the rules of Group B state that the home team decides on the (geographically sensible) map.
Also, yes, you can change maps throughout the season. Your first home game could be on say BeNeLux, then the next home game on Classic, then you may choose say BeNeLux again, etc etc. Home team in Group B
ALWAYS gets to choose the map.
Make sense?

I'll put you down as Classic. There are currently 3 categories - Classic, Home Option, and Either. We have, at the moment (including yourself):
Classic: 2
Home Option: 3
Either: 5
Undecided: 6
Those in the Either group will be distributed in either Group A or Group B depending on which group needs the numbers.

Just to clarify the Group A and Group B thing, or more correctly, the home map option. I was having trouble raising numbers with just 1v1 Classic League, so I decided to present the Home Option. Numbers increased, I assume as some people like to play on more than just 1 map. This has resulted in the league being able to commence as we have got the required numbers.
Since the original idea was Classic only, I allowed two options - Groups A and B. Those who joined because of the original idea can still play the original rules. Those who like the home option can play home option rules. Because these people are separated into 2 groups, they can each play their rules without one player having to submit to rules they don't want to play (ie - Group A teams don't play Group B teams - except to decide 1st 2nd and 3rd place at the end of the season). This is to keep everyone happy, so everyone gets to play to the rules that encouraged them to join up.

Just waiting on one more player to reply to the PM. At least 4 players have opted for Classic only, so we're definitely running with Groups A and B having different rules. Should be starting up by this weekend

Nope.
You won 2-0, and you received two different continent bonuses during the game, so the two goals are automatically decided

Yep that's right. Yeah it hurts

, but that's the rules of the tournament. If we had just win/loss it wouldn't be nearly as fun
