Much as I admire Fed,I hope you're right.nagerous wrote:Murray has broken Federer already, I think home advantage might make the difference.

you do realise he wrote that 3 years ago and you just bringing it up now makes you look like a complete idiot and a troll.jimboston wrote:Finals?Serbia wrote:This match is 4 hours long. I didn't notice this... My bad.Sniper08 wrote:you do realise he wrote that 3 years ago and you just bringing it up now makes you look like a complete idiot and a troll.jimboston wrote:Finals?Serbia wrote:This match is 4 hours long. well so far its one set a piece , federer is making more mistakes than murray but his class is keeping him in it. maybe the rain delay is exactly what he needs.
I'm sort of annoyed that he agreed to address the crowd after his loss.pmchugh wrote:Unlucky Murray, got to feel for the lad greeting his eyes out.

You lost and people are starting to figure that you're not good enough to win a grand slam. Shut up, stop crying and practice more.
Of all time prob, but right now I find - depending on surface, day of the week, and what way the wind is blowing - its very hard to split the top three.Army of GOD wrote:oh, and just so people think I'm being anti-British or whatever, if Roddick did the same thing after losing a US Open, I would be equally pissed. I'm sort of confused how he got bumped up to 1 overall. I feel like he should be ahead of Nadal, mostly because Nadal isn't nearly what he is on clay on other surfaces, but over Djokavic? I just don't see that.Lootifer wrote:Of all time prob, but right now I find - depending on surface, day of the week, and what way the wind is blowing - its very hard to split the top three.Army of GOD wrote:oh, and just so people think I'm being anti-British or whatever, if Roddick did the same thing after losing a US Open, I would be equally pissed. He's Scottish anyway,so no worriesArmy of GOD wrote:oh, and just so people think I'm being anti-British or whatever, if Roddick did the same thing after losing a US Open, I would be equally pissed. I would never have known.. : )Lootifer wrote:Scotland is part of Britian...
Dude, that's a bit harsh. Wimbledon is kind of the biggest thing for British tennis players. There is nothing bigger. He didn't ask to make a statement, and it's fairly clear that he didn't particularly want to. He didn't take anything away from Federer, and indeed complemented him.Army of GOD wrote:oh, and just so people think I'm being anti-British or whatever, if Roddick did the same thing after losing a US Open, I would be equally pissed. Keep away your jingoistic nonsense from tennis. This BS belongs to football all right but tennis is an individual pursuit. You either like the player (for the game she/he play or just as a person) or you dont. And this should have nothing to do with player's nationality...chang50 wrote:He's Scottish anyway,so no worriesArmy of GOD wrote:oh, and just so people think I'm being anti-British or whatever, if Roddick did the same thing after losing a US Open, I would be equally pissed. Yeah, a tennis player ranked in the top five in the world, who has been in the finals of a fair few of the major tournaments, and beaten Federer, and Nadal, and Djokovic, must be in the finals through luck and the help of a judge. Idiocy.Pope Joan wrote:Keep away your jingoistic nonsense from tennis. This BS belongs to football all right but tennis is an individual pursuit. FYI, I was all for Roger yesterday. I find Murray's tennis uninspiring and Murray himself a bit of a moron. And, anyway, Murray should not even be in the final. What is happening with this line judge who gave 12 footfaults to Big Ivo? IMHO, Big Ivo is lethal and fun to watch on grass, Murray would not pull through without the judge's help...
Whoosh, thats the sound of my joke going right over your head.I'm British, born in England,it's a long standing joke among us when a Scot looks like doing well that they are British when they win and Scottish when they lose. It's the complete opposite of jingoism, actually poking fun at such nonesense.Pope Joan wrote:Keep away your jingoistic nonsense from tennis. Pretty sure they interview the loser every year and it would be bad etiquette (or possibly against their contract) to refuse. What did annoy me was that Sue's questions to Federer were more about Murray than him.Army of GOD wrote:I'm sort of annoyed that he agreed to address the crowd after his loss.pmchugh wrote:Unlucky Murray, got to feel for the lad greeting his eyes out.

The ranking is based on points... which you get based on how far you advance in any given tournament. (I think it also factors in the ranking of your opponent... so it's not unlike CC.)Army of GOD wrote:I'm sort of confused how he got bumped up to 1 overall.
