I really dont understand this cyberbullying concept as it applies to c.c.
short of someone disclosing home addresses and or home phone numbers, how much of a real threat could it be?

Woodruff, it's a shame to see this happen. You were (and still are, I guess) one of the most level-headed and thought-out posters. You'll be missed in the forums.

The minimal information we have behind the scenes is kept secure---the most information about a user is Admin-Level access only, and technically the information the Webmaster is privy to is a whole additional level that only Lackattack has access to. We've never had a problem before, and I don't expect we will have any in the future with how we maintain our information.

As for when it comes to protecting your information, as with any internet forum or game, it is advised to refrain from using your real name, disclosing your location, or other specific identifying attributes or facts about yourself. We have a pretty strong policy about Personal Information Abuse, and if we find someone abusing or otherwise using someone's personal information, they will be disciplined.

what a hell are you guys talking about?!
the only informations you can have about someone is their email address(which is either email address from your network provider or some e mail service(google, yahoo, hotmail...)) that doesnt tell you a shit unless you are able to break into google or yahoo or whoever... or IP address which is same for you and god know how many more users from same VLAN. for example, my network mask is 255.255.240.0, which means there can be up to 4000 users with a same public IP address. so for someone to find you, they need to know how to hack into CC and retrieve IP address, then hack into your provider gateway or whatever is doing NAT for them, retrieve log file from them to see which out of god knows how many users has visit CC, and then from that private address theyve obtain they need to access their database and find out who is the man/woman behind that private IP address.
and im pretty sure someone who possess that kind of knowledge have much smarter things to do then treating people over internet...
so can you please drop that obsession you have for being frighten 24/7 unless you plan to start running away from your shadow...

ok so then realistically no one on this site is going to know another persons home address or phone # UNLESS you give it out, so that being said, how then is there any issue of so called cyber bullying? how can another person be any real physical threat to another from this site, short of lackattack making his way to your home in the middle of the night, and i'm not afraid of no turtle.

i just dont get this cyber bullying crap, i wish a mod could go into detail

Please be more specific as to what the guidelines are. I do not recall ever reading what CC does in regards to Cyber Bullying.
