no i understand the game, but I also know genius strategy when i see it. Im trying to show the possiblities of fake role-claims.
This game requires people to be able to figure out who's on your side and to be able to communicate with them without being obvious to the enemy.

the only difficulty in that lies in the fact that since role orienting is the only thing to really look out for in this game, by communicating with people on your side you are necesarily giving away your position to the enemy. Frankly the more one talks in this game, the more danger one is in.

thats why without necesarily knowing all the roles i have to assume that the most important roles have to go as follows.....
the sides shooters....since if the pattern continues and we have little to no game sequence lynching, the balance of power will continue to be shifted by accurate and unblocked shooters. Therefore its paramount that each side has active players who can find targets that have higher levels of probability. One could probably assume that if jake was not killed by some party (it would seem the confederates) that there would probably be a confederate death in the morning. Still i would assume there have to be multiple potential shooters, or has been suggested, fill ins in the case of people being killed.
Doctors also seem vitally important, since they are the ones who have to be most aware of who has revealed themselves to the other side. If there was any role that probably should not claim for any side, it would be the doc, since that would probably be disaterous for their army. There are of course a couple exceptions to this rule, but i would hope that anyone who could possibly fit that bill would figure this out on their own. Priests would also fall under this category.
Seemingly cops/any mason group must be next important because they are the ones who have to determine whose on whose team. masons probably have it easier since they can share notes, but cops are probably more accurate because they will get a better knowledge of wahts going on.
these are all just suppositions i have given some of the roles that i think would probably be involved on each side....i as always could be wrong...but its unlikely
*i agree that lynching submariners may be an effective way to keep the game moving and encourage whatever actually gameplay we will get*
dominationnation wrote:In that case perhaps we should go with a lynch the submarrers strategy. Thoughts?
egh....im up for that, but thats just a luck of the draw lynch. we need to lynch someone whos been posting around to get the best results me thinks
See i think theres a bit of an inverse relationship here....
if you dont post, you probably dont die at night but have a higher chance of being random lynched
if you do post, you probably wont be lynched, since your mates probably wont hop on the vote train...but you could be much more likely to be targeted at night, and who knows if your doc feels like showing up.
While Fircoal was hanging out in his bed chambers, his servant brought over some fruit to him. Fircoal took a bite out of the apple. Unfortunately for him, someone had put poison in his apple and killed him. Fircoal aka Spainish leader Isabella II(Independent nation). has been killed off.

Hmmm, someone has daykilling powers. Of course, this begs the question as to why they didn't kill yesterday. Maybe a 1 use power. Of course, this begs the question as to why they'd waste it on someone as inconsequential as Fircoal.
My theory is that it was one of those pushing for a witch-hunt for Independants.

yeah like there isnt a single person who ever goes after fircoal in these games....
Oh f*ck. Well my theory about only 4 factions goes to drain :s This is a complicated setup for sure. I still stand to my point that the non-afiliated factions need to go. Now if someone could point them out, I'd be grateful
well this is certanily interesting. Daykill abilities. That werent used yesterday. It has to be someone online now. Or lsu just logged on and had actually gotten the pm much earlier.

it could be either way....the only problem with either theory is fircoal said so very little in the day phases that would have given any kind of alignment at all that its troubling as to why someone would decide to go after him.

Probably whoever had the daykill abilities either knew a cop, or was a cop. Fircoal could have been invesigated last night and then the kill handed in today.

Role claimed up the yazoo....why has nobody jumped on that yet ?
Why would you want him dead? If he wants to roleclaim on day 1, then he can go ahead. It's entirely his fault if the Doc is tied up keeping him alive for the rest of the game.

So, the union are good guys ??
I'm confused...this is not explained inthe rules
there isnt really a good or bad....just two sides fighting a war, with some interested observers who could play different roles depending on how things shake out.
