Because I don't want to type in red, and I find the lack of creativity in PR offensive. PRs should either serve some actual purpose or at least make the game more interesting/fun, even "talk like a pirate" or similar can at least be fun for a short while if a little cliché, type in red is just lame and encourages scum (if they're playing smart) to prolong the day in the hopes they can kill or psuedo-roleblock a few people via the arbitrary town-wide PR when they occasionally forget.

Also I refuse to type like Skoffin.

No, if I were choosing a PR as scum I would pick something far more subtle/thoughtlessly acted upon so it would be far easier to catch people out with. No use of BBCode/punctuation or attachment of signatures for instance, or you have to alter something in the subject line of your posts.

Your use of code blocks and prepending of FOS to everything violates the PR. You can't just prepend the letters "FOS" to something to make it an FOS. You should have been modkilled by now, and I'm disappointed that TFO hasn't punished you for it.

the Mitch thing isn't worth dealing with now as him being commuted is not really alignment indicative. Also Mets and Aage are right. We've already had too many distractions from proper scum hunting

Vote Thor. His posts from what I've seen have generally been non-helpful. He mostly seems to be waiting for others to do the scum hunting for him which isn't a very townie attitude overall.

Get out of here, strike. I am being helpful. I'm asking the right questions and staying practical, by not adding to or get carried away by this games MANY distractions.
A partial list of distractions.
1. spirits/oracles/criers are just fancy ways to confuse and lie to everybody. Ignore, unless there is corroborating evidence (and when there is enough other evidence, we won't need those mystery voices anyway...)
2. So some people are getting gifts (special one-shot powers I'm guessing?) either from the mod or from another player. I'm sure I won't know what they do until they are used or activated, and I probably won't even know then... so I can't really worry about that.
3. The red writing is probably just a joke. If it isn't done by Skoffin herself, then it's probably meant to show Skoffin how annoying she has been in every other game ever, and it seems to be working:

As for the PR; all this red text offends me and I do not approve.

I'm sure Pika is just being dicky with all those green spoiler FOSs. He probably does need to get mod-slapped about it.

Things that I do think are important.
1. Pika tried to be outrageously scummy to get lynched. Was it just to show off that he can't be lynched and imply that he must be town? Obviously there is more to this.
2. Mitch claims he was 'out of town' last night. Was he just picked randomly by a power role that had to guess on somebody to protect, or was there a specific reason. Of course, 'out of town' would also keep Mitch from using his own power, if he has one.
3. Is mandy claiming to get a dinner visit from the crier AND then knowing that he was visited AND having a lying/random/truthful spirit say he was town connected or unrelated acts?
4. Not posting is still a bad thing. That hasn't changed. For the good of play non-posters should attract suspicion, not avoid it.

The night scene mentioned someone finding a candle. If this is you and you received some sort of intel but don't know why, please share. If this is you but you expected intel because you have some sort of investigative/watcher/follower etc type role then please continue not saying anything.

As for the aura thing: seems like some sort of protective shield as mentioned before. Now I am asking for opinions on how we should go about that. Should the person responsible claim it? (My thinking is that if they claim then the doc would know who to protect every night if it's possible to use the ability again we want to ensure we'd be able to use it) or would it be too risky to claim?

I don't think mitch is clearly town, but I also think that it's unlikely enough that scum (even scum mitch) would claim being commuted without prompting that he would be a poor lynch choice today.

This is exactly why I'm suspicious of you. I'd ask that you stop asking people mentioned in the scene to claim. It's unproductive, it doesn't give us any relevant info to work with and you're basically rolefishing. Whether or not the 'shield ability' can be used multiple times is irrelevant, if it even exists at all. What the candle references is irrelevant because we have nothing to tie it to, and asking people to speak up about it is unproductive. Wouldn't you agree that if someone were willing to give that information up, they'd have done so already?
Also, bloody good job bringing Mitch's posts to attention. Remind me never to entrust you with secrets.
You're wasting your time chasing people who aren't posting and you're fishing for roles. You denounced the people who were on the Dakky wagon, called it a bad lynch and demanded people show remorse. This is why I refrained from mentioning any details as well, I appreciate your kindred spirit. Although honestly, you guys aren't missing much. All I know is the item's name, nothing else. Samlen, what are your thoughts on the fact that nobody 'claimed' to have taken and/or used the item yet?


The 'suspicion' on Pika regarding his posting style seems childish. I don't really care what format he posts in, he's brought more to the table than half of the players. Trying to figure out who or what caused the posting restriction and who should and shouldn't be warned is also unproductive. The former is irrelevant to the actual game of finding scum, and it's the mod's job to check the latter.

buj should know by now what role fishing is. He knew what he was doing and Im pretty sure you knew that he knew what he was doing. Therefore you advising him on what role fishing is seems to me like a subtle prod on a scum buddy that people are going to call him out if he keeps doing it.

Regarding BuJ: I am a little suspicious of the people getting on his case for rolefishing. Asking someone to say if they received info from the candle is not necessarily rolefishing because it's an item they received, not the role that they have. For the aura, BuJ didn't ask the person to claim, but rather floated a discussion about whether that person should claim, which is also not necessarily scummy.

That's not how this game always works. Choosing to release information is often something you don't do on your own instinct, but depends on what others want too. When I have information that I get from an investigation, say, I'm not always sure when to bring it up. No one is perfect at this game and can always be certain about this.

Is it possible that BuJ is asking for this because he's scummy? Yes. Is there sufficient evidence for this? No.

And the argument that "buj should know by now what role fishing is" cuts both ways, because if he does, then it's an awfully bold move as scum on D2 to risk attention that way.

Obvious hyperbole on the Sam one but point still stands. So no. I don't plan to say much about Aage's post and I do believe youre smart enough to know that those two posts had completely different tones to them.

Why even ask if the person who may have shielded town should step forward? What purpose does it serve for said person to step forward? It's either a one shot ability and mafia overanalyzes it wondering if they have to pull out some special ability or save any potential extra kills for later nights. Or it does have another use in which case, that person should NEVER claim unless forced. Only thing getting that person to claim accomplishes is allowing mafia to better plan around it.

I do believe that Buj knows what role fishing is and I do believe he would out right ask for someone to claim. I don't put it past scum Buj to try to guise it as getting consensus from town that said person should claim.

As for the candle, I agree with Aage on this one. If anyone on town got anything worthwhile out of it, they should have already spoken up.
