Something that's lost with electronic dice is the act of choosing which dice to roll. I miss picking out my favorite dice for big Axis & Allies rolls.

Oh, man, I sure miss that game! Sadly, the friends I played complicated games with moved out of state - all of them! The most complicated game I can get anyone to play with me anymore is Settlers of Catan (which, I suppose, is good, because I'd tear my hair out from board game insanity if I couldn't play Settlers of Catan).

I've only played the original Axis & Allies game a handful of times since the 80's. I played it a lot in high school. The game I miss playing is Axis & Allies Miniatures. I haven't played it since the summer of 2009. I used to play it daily when I was a bachelor. Mrs. Quirk and I play Magic but no AAM yet. She has expressed interest

. The problem is trying to roll 20 dice quietly so as not to wake up Quirk Jr.
