Good to know the most influential man to have potentially lived is actually a figment of "mushroom mythology".Quirks Wife wrote:

Update! Back due to popular demand, TCM and Cinemark had another showing of Casablanca in movie theatres...and I went and saw it. There weren't too many of us, probably no more than 25-30 in the large theatre, but it was pretty perfect. I had a nice center seat without anyone directly in front of me. I really enjoyed seeing the film on the big screen, and I am pretty sure I smiled the whole way through as well.AndyDufresne wrote:So, I forgot that yesterday Casablanca was going to be shown in theaters across the USA, as part a 70th anniversary sponsored by Turner Classic Movies channel. I wanted to go see the film on the big screen, but by the time I remembered, the last showing was underway.

In the downtown core of my hometown, there is a theatre you can rent. If you want to come and visit me, we can rent it and watch all the classics (there are 2 good stores for renting them in the region).AndyDufresne wrote:Update! While I was in my seat waiting for it to begin, I realized that until that moment I had never seen any of my favorite movies on the big screen before, since most of mine are either older films or I came across them a few years after their theatre run.
Now I want to see all my favorite movies on the big screen...
