I've never had much faith in reincarnation but it's becoming clear that I was a brutal dictator responsible for millions of deaths in my last life. Still, I remain an eternal optimist. (Why not?) Last Thursday I ended my 25 year perfect driving record. I'm driving a rental for a few days. It's a brand new Ford Fusion and I'm really enjoying all the perks. I like my '02 Rav4 but it seems like such a dinosaur now.

I knew that back in 1st and 2nd grade. I was pretty obsessed with dinosaurs at the time. Like knowing and being able to pronounce more dino names than most adults I knew. And instead of a stuffed teddybear like what most people had, I had a stuffed stegasaurous and triceratops.

We had a 60 mile an hour collision last a week before Sunday here. We were incredibly lucky in several ways including everyone wearing a seat belt.

The emergency responders where surprised only my wife had bad enough injuries to need to be checked. They took her for X-rays, only soft tissue injuries. Our daughter and I still have pretty sore spots from seat belts.

Rav 4 is a girl car. My perfect driving record ended after 2 seconds. I crashed my cousins car when I was 4.

We're fine. Your accident sounds much worse than ours. I was on my way to pick up my son from school so he wasn't in the car.

nietzsche may be right about the girl car. The pick-up I rear-ended wasn't damaged at all but my front end bent into my radiator.
