I think they are doing it to troll....considering the level of arguements they bring, I can't give them more credit than that.
People are realizing that while Obama got a ton of votes etc, that th efar left agenda is NOT what American's want. (See CA voting against gay marriage, against legalized prostitution etc). San Fran can sink into the ocean for all I care. It is going to be an interesting 4 yrs. Funny thing is, Obama is in an unfortunate situation with our economy. It can't be easily fixed, and he could go down as a poor president if he doesn't turn it around, since he has promised he can. I am a Repub and McCain supporter, but I know there is not a magic wand for the economy. And presidents can't move the economy alone.

Wow...any shred of credibility you had from previous posts just vanished. Nice job.
So much for "love thy neighbor".

Wow, you think?
I'm just not sure at the moment whether mpjh is trying to counter-troll me, feels that you
can't joke about racism, or just plain dull. As for Pope Ben, I've been hoping since he started posting that he's a troll, although he seems to be a fairly persistent one if he is.

Here's my 2 cents on the avatar change:

i think we have a winner

if jay leaves his bunker anytime soon
that was mean. I miss jay.
I can totally see why a thread about jay's new avatar was merged into the obama thread! It made locating it so much less confusing, and only serves to enhance this thread's thematic coherence.
WTG mods.

For one thing, your avvy not only shows an odd sense of humor, but also contradicts the 1st commandment of non-Hasbro-affiliated world domination gaming: no more than 6 dots per face shall your dice possess.*
More importantly, as I recall the guy in the race who promised to fix the economy was McCain, not Obama. Only McCain wouldn't even dignify us to tell us how he would go about that. But the race (and McCain's career as a powerful political figure, in my opinion) is over, so let's talk about what is going to happen going forward. I feel like Obama and the Democratic majorities are going to be under a lot of pressure once he takes office to put the things into effect that made the people vote for him. The Republicans have obviously been terrible at pinning the economic meltdown on Democrats; I don't think the more-than-likely failure of the new Democrats to jump-start a dead economy will change that. I do think, though, that if Obama can't get the things that the people preferred (tax cuts for the vast majority, raising taxes on the rich, getting our troops out of Iraq and fixing America's place in the world, and reaching across the aisle) the voters will be satisfied.
*I get the joke.

Uh? I don't see how that video was fear mongering. I am sorry if I scared you...I thought the cartoon was funny and points out the
right wing's fears.
Here's some real fear mongering for you:

The Cali vote is a good example of how the country is right of center even in the most "progressive" states. The difference in Gay parades and what would be a heterosexual parade is that gays are performing some pretty off color acts in the street and seriously disrespecting people of faith while doing it. Some of those groups passed out porn at world youth day to children. I don't think that lifestyle or thought process is "progressive" in a good sense.
Just think how dull the forum would be without people like me arguing with you trolling or not:)

So long as you stay in Italy, we can relax. At least then you will be in the country of origin of fascism and the center for Catholicism, and we can work out our own issues here.

real Patriotic American and stand behind your country & it's democratically elected leader? Hmmm?

I never said I did not stand behind our elected leader so perhaps you could stop assuming thats where I stand. I will give Obama every chance to do what is right and I honestly hope he is the best president we have ever had. If I hoped for anything less I would not be a true American. I am only opposing some of the policies that he himself has said he would instate. If he does otherwise he will have my respect and backing. California's Vote shows our democratic process at work so why don't you get behind them? ....the people have spoken.
I will always respect the office of president. The one who holds it gets respect only until they go against our freedoms of speech, religion and personal property. Then they are a terrorist.

You are not making any sense...as usual.
I live in this country, I have children I want to have a great future, I own a business so I want the economy to get better. People like you and other liberals are more concerned with who gets the credit instead of doing something because it's right. So why would I want Obama to fail? I give credit where credit is due and critisism when due. Right now all I have to go on is what he has said and most of it I do not like.
I hope I am wrong about him but I fear I am not.
