The lovely lady is the girl who has somehow managed to put up with me for two years. She deserves a round for that.

Here is the large sized version of the image now in my sig.

This is the regalia of the Honor Guard of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. The white cape reflects my position as a Past "Faithful Navigator" or the head of a local "assembly" of the Fourth Degree (dedicated to patriotism). The jewel is for the position of "District Deputy" who is in charge (or I should say I assist and facilitate) of several local "councils" in the K of C. My current district the 2nd NY district covers the North Fork of Long Island, home to a number of vineyards and wineries.

They are made by both the English Company and Lynch and Kelly.
Lynch & Kelly wrote:Our chapeaux are light weight and very durable. The chapeaux are covered with silk velvet, and are properly trimmed with a 4th Degree raised metal emblem and white ostrich plume. Chapeaux are ordered by hat size and are priced at a low $95.50.

By the way the cost for a replacement feather ... er plume is $63
I was a bit worried everyones attention would be on the guy on the right...but i doubled him in that photo so, even if he gets all the looks, i at least won the contest that mattered.
He looks like a young peter o'toole. But you, sir, are clearly the guitar hero here.
