I'm happy for Joe Thornton. Now if he could just help the Sharks win the cup - that would be nice.

ps - It is a shame that people were booing the Canadians when they were getting gold medals and during the picture, not to point fingers but it was probably the US fans

I think you are mistaken. Nobody was booing Canada, they were chanting "Lou" for our goalie!
Congrats to the U.S. for winning the most medals, EVER, by any country, in a winter olympics!
And Congrats to Canada for winning the most GOLD medals, by any country, EVER, in a winter olympics!
And the fact that the Gold for mens hockey was the capper, makes it all very very cool. 8-)

He was being facetious lol, pointing out that you WERE pointing fingers even though you said you weren't. So he made an equally ridiculous comment. It's like the people who make a pun and immediately say "no pun intended"... it's just dumb.

At least they did the canadian national anthem in a classy sorta way(other than singing it in some wierd language).
I realize your comment is from quite a while back, but I just started reading this topic.
There is nothing classy about screwing around with a country's national anthem. It's not a pop song, to be rearranged with an R&B beat or blues vocal riffs. It's a march with a melody that's been designated as THE national anthem. Play it that way, and sing it straight, with pride and a glowing heart.

The word "ice" becomes redundant as soon as you realize we're discussing men's hockey. No school-girl skirts to be found.

You do get the added bonus of the occasional cat fight.

Everywhere "soccer" is played, yes. Women's hockey.
