games will come out monday or tuesday. Sorry guys, no time this weekend.

this is both good and bad news for the tournament- my last day of school is thursday, so after that I have plenty of time; so you guys will get 10 days worth of games every week. The bad news is that you may not really get them at a set time during the week. I'll do them on the weekend when I can, but if I'm going on vacation, you may get one set like 4 days after the previous set, then not get another set for 10 days. That will probably only happen 2-3 times max over the summer, but consider yourselves warned :P

erikiscool is replacing moldy780 as the Tigers, and jsholty4690 is probably replacing edwinissweet as the Yankees (I'm awaiting confirmation from jsholty).

the Marlins have not joined in the allotted time, so will be replaced. Tucktovich will be replacing JunglyBorn as the Marlins if he accepts. This means that anyone playing at the Marlins this week will get new games, since Tucktovich will want a new map

wow- 0 people quit the tournament for two months, then I miss 1 week and 3 people quit :P

Condolences to all Yankees fans. Steinbrenner did so much for that Team and for baseball. It is a sad time indeed.

guys, I'm trying to do my tourneys, but CC is really slow, has been for a few days. It's hard to update a tourney this big (I have to make close to 150 games, all with different game labels) when the sites so dam slow

At the All-Star break the top 4 players from each league should play a quads game. The league that wins would get home field advantage in the WS.

I guess, I know Serbia's MLB tourney did that, but this is a 1v1 tourney. I think it's better to stay with the tourneys premise

For example, I have no clue how good TalynStarburst is at quads, but he has the best record in the tournament right now (in 1v1's). If he absolutely sucks at quads for whatever reason, how is that a fair decider for home field advantage?

ok guys, Lx has granted permission to give a General Achievement Medal to the person with the best win percentage at the All Star break! This makes the next 2 weeks even more important for all those medal hunters :).

I'll put updated standings in the first post this weekend when I do games

Then make the All-Star Game a best of 5 1v1 top 5 teams vs top 5 teams.

you're in the all star game as of now, you know that right? You're the wild card in the AL.

I like my way because it gives the best player a bit of an advantage for being the best, but still allows all of the playoff teams to have a say.

Wild Card and All-Star game are different. In real life the All-Star game decides which league gets home field advantage in the World Series.

yes, I know that. What I'm saying is that you are currently in the Wild Card position in the AL, so you will participate in the All Star Game under my system.

also, I will update the standings, send out the all star game (assuming enough of the games are finished to determine the participants for certain), and send out the next set of games tomorrow. I may even start tonight, we'll see.
