Frankly, I believe it is well within the scope of a clan leader's powers to forbid their players from playing with others. Since becoming a clan leader, I have taken it upon myself to guide my clansmen in their everyday activities, lest they ruin their lives because of their own foolishness. If I don't save them from themselves, who will? Here is a small sample of the rules that I impose upon the FOED members:
  • 1. Always eat a well-balanced breakfast. Cereals such as Lucky Charms and Count Chocula are bad for your teeth and are thus forbidden.

    2. When getting dressed in the morning, please remember that you are forbidden from wearing a brown belt with black pants, white socks with black shoes, or a tie with a short-sleeved shirt. Good fashion sense is close to godliness.

    3. Should you pass through a tollway on your way to work, be kind and pay the toll for the motorist behind you. As an exceptional drinker, we can assume there was much debauchery the previous night. Doing this creates karmic equilibrium.

    4. You are forbidden from bringing your lunch to work. Spending ridiculous amounts of money on fastfood is the only way to rejuvenate the economy.

    5. Always respect and promote diversity.

    6. You are forbidden from playing with Duke.

    7. Duke is forbidden from playing with "Duke." You'll go blind.

    8. You are forbidden from mentioning your bad dice in the public game chat. Children in third world countries don't even have dice. Consider yourself fortunate to fail your teammates.

    9. When addressing me in game chat or the forums, you are forbidden from calling me "Master." Such a thing may go to my head and cause me to abuse my powers as a clan leader.

People pay money to play this game and for another individual to dictate who or who not to play with is insane. The only time a clan leader should have any say about a members mates would be for clan events. Even then a clan leader can't force a player to team with a mate they disagree with.

the avatar is a twofold statement -

its my general reaction when the sole determinant in who wins the game when good players are involved goes against me (the dice and luck in timing)

and its my reaction with anyone who f's up my game when playing something other than team vs. team games

Hilarious thread - A+ to the posters. (except for tdans)

As for the question, no, this shouldn't be happening in my opinion.
But... It was so artistically done.

Gratitude

Post by MNDuke »

As an update to a thread I created a little over a week ago regarding Clan Leaders kicking out clan members for playing games with people they don't like, I would like to thank said leaders who kicked out a great player and good person from their ranks. I'm still amazed they would let their egos and personal vendettas take priority over a friendship. It's with great pride and joy that my clan has welcomed this player with open arms into our little group where they will no longer have to face such issues and prejudices. We are not only gaining a great player but a good friend and are excited at the contributions that this player will make. Its disappointing to learn that there are such groups who take personal politics so seriously that they would let them dictate their lives and cast a person from their midst's. After all this is only a game.

I can't help but find this topic weird.
Why would you feel the need to announce this so publicly; Are you so focussed on being the better man over that other clan leader?
