Everything you say sounds right. And then I look at his anti-Andy rants and change my mind. Even his signature is an example of it.Juan_Bottom wrote:I feel like, either Herk was really wronged here, or he's sticking it to a MOD just because he's a MOD. That's Herk's style, one or the other. I really can't believe Herk care's enough to start a discussion like this to insulate himself in any way. I don't think he cares what anyone thinks about him.
Maybe he does want some acceptance and to be one of the forum regs. I could see that, and it would explain some of his behaviors like going for the game record and fighting mods that he doesn't even know. People would do that sort of thing for acceptance. Sure he could be a toad, but he could also be one of those guys with a finger on each hand up, screaming "I DON'T GIVE A F*CK!!!" Right now I think it's impossible to tell with him. So I'm going to take him at his word, that what he says is how he feels. And then we'll see what the opposition says.
On this topic, the two are intertwined. I believe we are on topic.DJPatrick wrote:This post is about Joshy Boy (who continues to remain silent) NOT Herkman...on topic pls pps

You owe me $10.

Because, really, who wants to subject themselves to wild speculation and accusations, bitter anger, and misdirected sarcasm? Apart from me of course.

Because Joshyboy couldn't have invited him to the games? I don't know weather or not joshy is innocent or guilty, that is for the admins/multi hunters to decide but this idea that because he didnt exchange a pw via pm/wall he is guilty is just faulty logic at best.jefjef wrote:I believe you misunderstood what herkman was saying.Army of GOD wrote: I still don't even understand this because herkemeier says Joshy can prove his innocence earlier in this thread.
A MH can see my PMs and wall and see that no pw was ever even exchanged for these games. They just appeared...
Also, it will be very easy for him to prove his innocence. Simply report the PM where we talked about these games or exchanged a pw.
In other words Herk is saying no pm or discussion exists in re of those private games.

With what information we have, we can all make a pretty good guesstimate about what's been going on around here. The de facto rule is that if you have nothing to hide, then you just tell the truth.* And no, I'm not being hypocritical here. His silence doesn't erase what information the community already does have.Queen_Herpes wrote:However, if this mod does not speak up, I believe that silence lends itself to a de facto statement to the community that the mods are both untouchable and above the law.
Why should he speak up in this thread, when all that will probably happen is a ton of people baiting him?Queen_Herpes wrote:However, if this mod does not speak up, I believe that silence lends itself to a de facto statement to the community that the mods are both untouchable and above the law.
So sayeth a mod who frequently supports his co-worker. Sorry, *coughs*, co-volunteer. I think he is in the right to remain silent, and deal with it behind the scenes instead of going public about it.
Was done on the ticket system. The only way a response is made hereabouts is when no one else is around to read the results. PM me, I'm not on here as much as I once was.Juan_Bottom wrote:Yes.Queen_Herpes wrote:Ijex is standing up for JoshyBoy.

Um, Canadian, you mean CANADIAN website. Their rules are different, they answer to the Queen. Royalty and birth rights determines rules. Which actually, now that I've written it, makes sense as to why the mods will just sweep this under the rug.Juan wrote:But anyway, back on topic:

That's right, I support his decision to stay quiet. I didn't support that whole debacle that happened in GD a few months ago that involved him. If he is convicted of this, I will still have supported him being silent.Queen_Herpes wrote:So sayeth a mod who frequently supports his co-worker. Sorry, *coughs*, co-volunteer. or sometimes the guys running team CC are smart enough to tell one of their volunteers to remain silent and out of the spot light. don't forget, he just came off of a one month "self-imposed" forum sebbaticle and right into this...-the black jesusTheForgivenOne wrote:As Juan said, sometimes it is better to remain quiet.

Hardly defending him, as you can note i say i dont know if he is innocent or guilty, it is not for me to say what my assumptions are on the case but rather wait till the multi hunters rule on the case. I was simply claryfing that just because he didnt exchange a pw did not mean he was guilty.Queen_Herpes wrote:Ijex is standing up for JoshyBoy. Joshyboy has been a bully in the suggestions forum and has shuttered and spammed suggestions (some created by me) in the suggestions forum. I reported him, and never got a response except once from another mod informing me that the report was closed.
I have been accused of violations in the past and I attempted to stay out of the conversation (to "prove" my innocence.) However, the argument was made that my silence would "do me in." I finally commented, made my case, and the case was dismissed.
If there is to be transparency in this process and the law&order on this site is to be respected, then JoshyBoy should speak up and the punishment should be made public. This will encourage other players to speak up when a mod misbehaves. However, if this mod does not speak up, I believe that silence lends itself to a de facto statement to the community that the mods are both untouchable and above the law.
