My 4th cousin played on the Greek national football team for the Eurocup and plays professionally in Greece (Panathinaikos). If you don't beleive me, search Dimitrios Papadopoulos on Wikipedia. (must be Greek with kind of name).

My paternal Grand-father's family were some of the first white settlers in the Oregon country. My grandfather told a story about how his aunt or great aunt was the first lady sheriff in all of Oregon. My Maternal Grand-father's mother's maiden name was Cox, which I am told is a major family in Virginia. Rumor has it that she was the granddaughter of Robert E. Lee... I am not too sure the truth of that story. Though my grandfather talk about how his parents owned slaves.

I'm related to sir Oliver Lodge who invented the radio (although Marcony stole it before it was patented)

also Robert the Bruce (on my fathers side) and William Wallace (on my mothers side)

and some carrabean pirate who made a fortune for elizabath I and himself by "redirecting" spanish tresure ships towards england
