It is reset every round, mainly because the groups are reset every round - but also to give everyone a chance to keep advancing.Dukasaur wrote:Will my Round 1 scores carry over into later rounds, or is it a reset every round?
Damn, I was hoping to open a nice big lead and just slowly coast towards the finish line...angola wrote:It is reset every round, mainly because the groups are reset every round - but also to give everyone a chance to keep advancing.Dukasaur wrote:Will my Round 1 scores carry over into later rounds, or is it a reset every round?
I've thought about carrying over scores, but with the groups being decided randomly it isn't very fair.Dukasaur wrote:Damn, I was hoping to open a nice big lead and just slowly coast towards the finish line...angola wrote:It is reset every round, mainly because the groups are reset every round - but also to give everyone a chance to keep advancing.Dukasaur wrote:Will my Round 1 scores carry over into later rounds, or is it a reset every round?
Please don't interpret this as a complaint, but I honestly don't see the reasoning. I think cumulative scores are more, not less, fair, because they average out your performance in a wider variety of situations (different opponents, different maps, etc.) With non-cumulative scores, you can do an amazing job for a long time, but one sudden burst of bad luck and you're dead.angola wrote:I've thought about carrying over scores, but with the groups being decided randomly it isn't very fair.Dukasaur wrote:Damn, I was hoping to open a nice big lead and just slowly coast towards the finish line...angola wrote:It is reset every round, mainly because the groups are reset every round - but also to give everyone a chance to keep advancing.Dukasaur wrote:Will my Round 1 scores carry over into later rounds, or is it a reset every round?
Perhaps, but there are some groups that are loaded with high players, so the scores are much more even, then there are groups with a bunch of cooks and some officer cleans house.Dukasaur wrote:Please don't interpret this as a complaint, but I honestly don't see the reasoning.
