Actually while I was a major when I began the series I slipped all the way down to lieutenant (briefly), it's been a hard slog back to major, in fact I'm still not there yet.
Recently I've let captains who were majors previously play in the games. If I get complaints about that I'll have to reconsider that policy.
At any rate I guess I'm claiming right of participation as one of the benefits of running this thing.

Welcome. the Major Games Series is open to any player whose a major or higher (or at least was a major at one time before falling on hard times). So, no problem, you may join as many as you like.
Win just one game and you'll be in the top 10. Win both the games and you'll be sitting on top of the leader board.

I just set up this thread to start playing games with others of the same rank: so I lose less points when I lose, experience less problems with missed turns and deadbeating, and most importantly gain experience playing with better players than are available via game finder.
Only after I started did I think to keep track of the results of the games.
It's my intention to keep at least one open game available.
I picked the particular settings because they seem to be fairly popular and they are the ones I particularly enjoy playing.
hows the diamond treating ya? The irony is pretty funny...you lost a lot in the majors games, and now youre a captain....samething happened to me in the colonels games...i dropped 800 points...i got them back though...im sure you will too...

It is kind of funny since I have lost a lot lately. I've even lost the vast majority of the major games, but point-wise the major games have been good to me, up 73 points from them.

As a result of a series of military disasters on a par with the Battle of Karánsebes, I've been unceremoniously demoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Consequently I've decided to regroup and put the Major Games Series on a temporary hiatus.
Therefore be it resolved that I will create no new games in the Major Games Series until I've been promoted to Captain again.
I believe there are still two games waiting for more players, but once those are filled the hiatus will commence. It's my earnest hope that it will not last very long, maybe just a few days.
