I chose this avatar because I thought it looked cool and because it illustrates the hydrophobic effect, which causes water to bead (among other things). this picture is of water droplets on wood treated with a special coating to be hyper-water-repellant. I thought it was cool because the coating is based on the surface properties of the leaves and petals of the lotus plant, which is the best known natural water-repelling surface.

mines is Tommy Vercetti from my most favorite PS2 game of all time, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. while in the shower i thought it should be the theme for a mafia game (yes, instead of touching myself), so my avatar goes with it! TOMMY PWNS ALL
