You know... the only way you can find incredible a quads escalating finish; it’s because of incredible luck (once again). We are all big boys and we all know how to play escalating team games in defense and offense when rounds matter here.. it’s a final not a round 1..SCuD. wrote:As much as I genuinely want to get involved in the maths chat (the TOFU guys will back me up here... kudos I think deserved from all for a sweep frog has just pulled out (with kudos to jaba for his support too).
Game 18644846
It might well be escalating sweep of the century. It's the sort of thing that happens one game in a thousand even for a top player. To do it in a CC final is next level. The Conquer Club equivalent of Zidane in the 2002 Champions League final (one for you Frenchies)
Absolutely incredible. Not keen on talking about the luck involved, you definitely need a shred of luck in every escalating sweep so let's take that as a given, but I think it deserves a full round of applause that frog stood up to the plate and delivered a win where 99% of players wouldn't have even seen a possibility.
Big applause for frog, big supporting applause for jaba
(I'd like to take some credit, but I'll be honest I stopped looking at that game when I got taken out 3 days ago!).

Every single turn!betiko wrote: This war continues to be a one ways fuckfest in terms of dice.

For antartica lol... 24% chances but hey.. that’s not luck, let’s just count the last rolls and not how we improbably reached that point with so little loss.
I’ve said it before, the dice will owe us a lot on batch 2.
This war continues to be a one ways fuckfest in terms of dice.
Actually, it was 29% (basically, once every 3 times I would succeed). But, that is not a complete story. FIrst, it was 50% for me to get a stack of 59 to the middle. So getting 69 was no miracle role. Had I gotten fewer to the middle, I could have easily taken out one of my teammates to get cards and complete the role. Again, no great/amazing luck. Of course you discard my 19 vs 11,2 failure as not part of the overall role. Also, you make no mention of Don's dice throughout the game as he sliced up the map at will.betiko wrote:

Lunar war, your team go threw too many neutrals ...Chariot of Fire wrote:>betiko. I hope you are right about the dice. CC owes me big time for Lunar Wars, Three Kingdoms, Battle for Iraq and Forbidden City where my teams simply never got a look in. I don't recall complaining though
I cant look too much into the past just by looking at the log (and what I heard from others), but it seems that on the turn before the sweep, cyan neglected the possibility of a 3-card into sweep and forted his stack rather than going for an 9v3,1,2 to eliminate the possibility in its entirety (by removing blue next to green). Now I'm not saying those are sure-win chances... but as long as you get the 9v3,1 you had a defensive stack to "guard" green. That being said, I'm not a great escalating player and this is all in hindsight.betiko wrote: You know... the only way you can find incredible a quads escalating finish; it’s because of incredible luck (once again). I like to say "I wish you just enough luck to make this a close fight, but not enough for you to win!"iAmCaffeine wrote:This is why I always say "have fun".joecoolfrog wrote: Lets face it when we wish our opponents good luck we dont mean it , in truth we hope their dice stink , but we do it to be polite and create a pleasant environment.
