Interesting indeed. My status is hidden too and have to login every single time I visit... even if it’s only an hour.

So to summarize this...

It's "NOT A BUG" : I was kicked out of the tournament because I didn't log in for 7 days, while I was playing games and posting things in a forum and game chat in those 7 days. So it's "NOT A BUG" because the system didn't kick me out because I was active everywhere 8 hours per day? Not a bug. I agree. And stop the bs talk about using anything than regular standard Firefox browser. I don't know why it didn't log me out, perhaps that "hide online status" has something to do with it. You people are accusing me of something I didn't do. I never done anything against the CC site nor will ever do. Even exploiting the Events was never meant to do any harm. But you treat me like I'm a criminal.

Just because of this BUG dakky lost his chance at the gift card. he had a high chance of winning. how will this problem be handled?? as someone stated before its a paid tournament so would be intresting to see how its handled.

@Dakky i always get logged out from the gaming part of the site. but almost never the forum part. if i click central command right now ill be sent to the login screen

when all explanations fail.. blame the person reporting the issue..

it's sounding like Dakky21 just busted someone at CC doing something shady.. and CC realizes it ..

( my 'Conspiracy Theory' is looking more & more promising by the minute... )

cc_username cookie... should have expired but it didn't for some reason? And the site didn't check the expiry date? Something weird.

PHPSESSID will expire tomorrow and I guess it will ask me for new login.

edit: I've been monitoring it and PHPSESSID cookie keeps updating "expires on" whatever I do on CC. Now it expires 6 hours from now, but obviously if I leave CC open and don't turn the computer off, it will prolong it's session due to refresh of central command or live chat.

I'm like forever in live chat and that might be the reason why it doesn't logs me off...

edit2: razor... try to stay in live chat without turning your computer off. If you're still logged in after sleeping then we have a confirmation of a bug.

tldr: leave live chat open at all times and don't shut down your computer (or put it to sleep) and you'll never have to login again (downside: you will be kicked out of autotourneys, but it's not a bug)

That only works for you still.

I get logged out of chat, logged out of the site
I never turned off my PC when I had one, never turn off my Mac now
Regardless of what browser or settings I use, I use many browsers for testing out bugs on the site.

But I will pass the cookie info onto BW, see if he says anything

PC/MAC doesn't matter. Browser may matter but I'm not sure. I didn't see you in live chat for quite some time though.

For me, I am required to log in if I am to make a move on a game if I have been inactive for some time. Does anyone else also have dakky's "no need to re-log in" condition?

Because everyone but you gets timed out when inactive in chat.. It is designed that way

But I do get timed out after few hours of inactivity, then when I wake up, I click Central command, get a star and then refresh the chat window so it logs me again.

We "found" a cause for the bug to be in effect, but I think I found another cause

So today GoranZ sitted for me because I was whole night and day on a wedding of a friend. And I see now I am still logged in (via cookies obviously) after he took my turn. And it still shows my location as Macedonia, which is not correct. It will not revert to the country I live in if I don't log out and then log in again MANUALLY (at least logout should be automatic).

So... Staying logged in forever has to do something with Cookies and therefore - we have The Cookie bug! If I'm the only one on site who is having this problem, then someone should check me

I think I figured out a way to fix the bug Dakky..
1st you have to have CC delete your account.. then you start a new account..
bugs should be gone then...

I don't know what to do more to not get kicked out of further auto tournaments. I'm an isolated case so I guess admins won't take much time to solve this... but... maybe I can do something on my own?

Have you tried to use “delete all board cookies” located at the bottom of the Forum pages?

Tried it and it kept me logged in CC - I could play games, but logged me out from forums. Then I logged out from everything and logged in back. Now it shows I'm in Croatia (correct) and forums work. I just wonder for how long

Just log out manually every time and you can't go wrong....

You understand what you are asking...? "the site is broken so just log out manually" kind of a thing. so even if I'm the single one on the site with said problem, why repair it when he can just... logout each day. Problem solved. I would really like to work in such environment!!!!!!!

I don't know, man, I'm not a techie. Maybe it's an easy thing, maybe it's not. As you know, the site is owned by one part-time programmer, and most of it is built on code from previous part-time programmers. I don't know how many projects he has on his plate or how big they are, or how big this problem is. So I can't answer your question how technically feasible it is to fix this problem. I can only guess and it wouldn't be worth much.

All I know is that when I go to a site that requires me to log in, I log back out. It's just basic good housekeeping. If you open a door, close it when you leave. If you turn on a light, turn it off when you leave. If you log in, log out.

dakky sounds like you need to delete your browser cookies.
