If it's the one on page 1 I still find it very dark. Never noticed you increased the lightness actually!

The map is too dark for my taste. Hell, I didn't even notice that you lightened it before! I thought it was still on the to do list.
Just change the ocean color and everything should be fine.

Ill dont want to lighten the map again, Im trying not to have tbold colours, dark it part of the theme.
I look latest update and old update,and i see that diference betteven these tow its so minor.Probably you can present several images with diferent % of lightening. Still map is dark,and dont look good to many dark colours.

if you want to keep it dark, a la the dark ages, which is not litteral btw, thats fine, but I would like to see some lighting effects in there... spots or torches or something to make me think that i dont need to be adjusting my monitor.

I also did not notice that you had lightened it. It's dark enough that it's weird to look at. Go browse several of the maps on the "start a game" page, then look at yours; you'll see it's much darker than the others. I agree that if you just brightened the ocean without touching the play area, it would make a big difference.
Colors don't have to be dark to be bold... do they? I'm not sure what "bold" means, actually.

To achieve this it might be necessary to include just a tiny bit more of North Africa at the bottom of the map, but this wouldn't be a bad thing for me anyway. At the moment the map manages to look cluttered despite it's fairly clean lines and think that is because:
- it's too dark !

- The current three separate pieces of legend wording - on the minimap, in the Bay of Biscay and in North Africa - really kill any any 'whitespace' that the image needs to breathe.
- The minimap territories are worryingly small ...
Oh and, notwithstanding that last point, I love the minimap as part of the playable map idea. It's this map's Unique Selling Point and that's what is making it particularly interesting for me.

a) Darkness - I agree - it's dark on my lappie screen - but OKish on a normal monitor.
b) Scandinavia - No - will change the scale of the map a lot - and really kick out the proportions.
c) Agreed about legend text - I'm not that happy with it.

6 days,and get stickied!? Why you not waith for say 15 days. In these logic,you can stikied more map now,lets say Rubben Punic wars,they have everything like these map,terittories,armycircles,names.
Unbelivabile.

What next-for two days he will get idea stamp,and fast to main foundry.
These map will be quenched for one month,and some other authors will be waith month to be stikied. Its bad when maps who create MOds go faster then other maps,people can thinking that these map makers have some privileges.
I know that these can have negative influences on mine maps(ignoring mine maps),but i realy need to write these. Again aim not pleased with these suspicious decision.

Not (much) more territories, but smaller bonuszones.
You already have regions like "aragon" and "holland" and "bavaria".
Only if that chunk is very big (like Castila , Burgundy) you can split it in 2.
Then indeed give a small bonus (of +1 or +2) relatively quickly on having such a bonuszone (if it was historically economically/politically meaningful: Aragon itself was important, but Andalucia in itself not) .. then more players would more simultaneously acquire a bonuszone in different corners of the map...that is on the big map.
On the minimap you can (should) keep the bigger national /linguistic zones.

Aim not bitch abount it,i just tell a true,and these true will brake on mine head, if you realy think that your map have more support then other maps,then you wrong,its easy to move forward,when you support Oaktown maps,and he support yours map,and fact is that Mod maps go faster then other maps. I realy dont se facts that these map is better then some maps in Map idea who is not stikied or get idea stamp. If you think that these is OK, then i can not do nothing to change these,because you have power to do what you want.

Not in here - there are numerous threads about the foundry process - I would've thought that you might understand it by now - as you have 3 quenched maps - but sadly you seem to not understand it...
I have 0 maps quenched where I am the primary developer and I understand it.

I like it dark too, but I think it should be lighten a little bit. The text in the water is kinda hard to read with the dark water. Maybe just lighten the water some.

OK troops... here's the latest version

a) Renamed Holland out of the map... now Benelux - and Netherlands!
b) Lightened the map (is it enough?)
c) Renamed french regions to be more - er french
d) Corrected a couple of spanish typos
e) Added connections in Minimap
f) reworked legend text all round - (Comments?)

The black stroke on the legend text looks odd. Maybe make it a dark grey instead of black?
I like the ocean color now, but I'd make the unplayable land a bit lighter. It looks oddly dark now. Otherwise, I think the brightness level is good now.

Right - I've considered this - and I'm going to deny it...
Because if we do this - then essentially - what we will be doing is creating a series of very small "countries" without the governing border... this will mean that if you manage to throw people out of the small countries - then these countries will turn into the warzones - and the smaller countries will grow stronger and stronger and then they'll come and breach the bigger countries and mop up.
If we are concerned that the small countries are too strong - then I would be MORE inclined to add 3 bombardment rules in.
i.e.
South England -> Ulster
Centre (France) -> Alentejo
Prussia -> Belgium
(Based on a couple of major disputes / battlegrounds etc between the areas)
But this will involve More legend text - and I'm not sure I want that.

I'm a bit confused on the gameplay. Is the country able to attack its constituent provinces back? That's not specified on the map right now, or if it is, I missed it. If not, that rule needs to be added or else there is no way to win unless there's a "hold all the countries" victory objective.

I think you made the nonplayable land even lighter, it might just give the illusion of making a slightly brighter map. Though I wouldn't mind a slightly lighter ocean also.
