Maybe a different title then?

Edit- this map has had no direction since i started. I starte it with a blank slate, then used black/white filter clouds in photoshop. That's how the continents came to life. I modified them a bit. Then added some textures and sort of created as I went. Now I have this - and I want to mold something fun out of it. The title "shadowlands" means nothing to me. It sounded cool at the moment, rather than "big map". The theme changes everytime I start to edit this map. It's probably not the best way to go about creating a map - but it's fun for me, and it improves my skills.

i don't want the colors in there. I want to think of a way around it, without having a conquest map.

you could just have no bonuses, but maybe lower it to +1 troop for every 2 regions held

Thats too much. There's going to be 100+ territs on this map, so the first player would get a +50 army bonus starting up.

I also don't really want neutrals, but I'm not completely opposed to them.

by neutrals do you mean start neutrals, and maybe give it start positions but dont have it be conquest, just like a mideavel war, two or more castles race toward each other, and battle. if you were to do this theme, you could add some catapults for bombarding

Like Feudal War. Starting positions with neutrals all over the board.
And I'm probably going to take the castle out, and just have landscape.

Just one comment on your walls:

They look really good but it's kinda hard to find wood that curves like the piece along the top of that wall does. I suggest a number of straight segments rather than one curving wall. Just my opinion tho...

Hmm... that actually sounds like a cool idea. Large snakes as impassable borders :)

Uh, well it's "Shadowlands" already. And do you think he's close to done with graphics?

In any case, I do agree that you should make the river branches thinner. But other than that I can't really say anything.

already made the rivers thinner. And I'm going to be changing the name, probably to "Badlands" since it's a desert style feel. I'll probably post the next update in the drafts forum. Thanks guys.
