Oh, and try to be clear and concise in your statements. I've had enough of vague statements lately to last me a lifetime. Also, try not to state theories as facts. Haha!! That is something that jones has a real hard time with...

Haha!
Wait. Is that me laughing, or you?
You really aren't being clear.

Oh and btw I think I did pretty well to remember the name and the author correctly after over 20 years. Sorry I can't give you actual quotes from Story's Space Gods Revealed.

Heck, I was hoping to hear some of his ideas. Direct quotes hold no more value to me than an explanation in your own words. I told you that I was looking for an exchange of information and ideas. For whatever reason, you decided it was a better idea to insult me. This thread has reaffirmed my belief that the people in the forum are stubborn and immature and argumentative. I have yet to say that I believe aliens have ever been on this planet. I asked for an exchange of information. But instead everybody assumed I was a firm believer and follower of Erich von Däniken.
I expect that kind of behaviour from BK Barunt because I have caused him so much grief in Flame Wars. I did not really expect it from you, jones. This was quite a disappointment.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the Sirius thing mentioned in the second link has been demolished elsewhere, someone else's turn to google.
Here's a puzzle:did you know that Gulliver's Travels has a pretty accurate description of the moons of Mars. their size and orbit, years before they were discovered?
There was not a lot of content in either of those links. I really don't care about Von D.'s character flaws. I already knew that he lied a few times and a few of the things he presented as evidence were fakes. I am not going to make the illogical mistake of disregarding interesting possibilities just because someone of questionable ethics believes that these possibilities are fact. If Adolph Hitler says it is a bright, sunny day, it doesn't mean it is raining.
While a few of the artifacts Von D. showed were fake, many more were authentic. And some did clearly show humanoid forms in spacecraft, etc.. How can this be disregarded just because Von D. lied about other things?
I've asked repeatedly about whether there was hard evidence of how the massive stones were moved to build some of the huge structures. Scientists have determined that some of these stones were moved many miles. I have not been able to find any documentation that there has been evidence left behind of the mechanism used to move the stones. If somebody else has, they haven't shared.
BK Barunt said there were hieroglyphics in Egypt depicting some mechanical devices that could be used to move huge stones. I thought "Great, this would be a good piece to the puzzle." So I asked him to provide some evidence (I am not going to just take his word for it). He did not reply. So I can only assume he was pulling a "Von D.".
What is frustrating for someone like me, too, is that I know this topic is not something that can ever be proven one way or the other (unless we learn how to travel to the past and come back with our findings, or an alien shows up with pictures). All that can happen is evidence can be presented and discussed, and every person can form an opinion. But each and every person that posted in this thread has come to a conclusion. A conclusion!??!?! That just blows me away. It is like dealing with a fundamentalist Christian who says "I know we all descend from Adam and Eve. I just know." Bullshit. They believe. They believe strongly. They believe in the core of their freakin' heart. But they don't know.
