I really doubt someone can get banned just for mentioning the name or a rival site. I know landgrab has been mentioned many times throughout the years but other than that, I don't know any of the other notable competitors.

on a side note, I think qwert and gillipig are a little sad they don't get to take place the CC doomsday count down of this anymore.

CC is constantly changing, evolving (Just like the rest of the universe...).
If this change is positive or negative is simply a matter of subjective opinion.
Some trends, like speed games, have seemingly declined a lot, where as others, such as the clan scene seems to be growing and growing.
Ofc you could look at the actual membership number, total, or premium. Or you could look at how much said members are contributing, etc etc.

My suggestion to anyone who wants to play more team games is join one of CC's 50ish clans for guaranteed satisfaction of your team-game appitite.
Speed games? No easy fix there, but whining sure won't help. PMing old speed addicts, banding together, trying to promote some get togethers at certain times in Call-outs etc, might help. Imagination is required. Good luck. I'll try and stop by the speed scene on weekends, see if I can donate some points to the 8p esc speed fund (just don't complain when my sweep grinds to a halt and you aint next to play )
Amusement aside, less talk more action. I'll throw up an 8p esc tomarrow noon CET.

I regret to say, but the recent incline is likely a bit bogus. It would appear that the site slotted many New Recruits into the Havoc Boards tourney. Since the games have started, they are now "active users" even though many of them have not logged into the site for years.

Some emails were sent out to members that haven't played in a while announcing the Tournament, those who replied were inserted into the tournament (as well as given instructions on how to play). We're not inflating the scoreboard, but we are looking to bring back some old members.

If you look at the numbers, you see that the scoreboard has increased by about 600. Going through the tournament, even if we take the most pessimistic view possible, there might be 120 questionables. 120 doesn't cover 600, so certainly you can't explain away the increase by referring to the tournament.

If you mean that other measures taken recently will also be short-lived, that remains to be seen.

So all the old players coming back are ONLY added to the scoreboard if they take a turn, and if it is the first game only once the game is finished

You are correct, I was quoting directly off the scoreboard page.. Looks like a bug there, but go to the members list and see how many have joined in the last 24 hours Those new members have no involvement in the havoc boards tourny
