It might be because I was in grade school when it came out, and at that time pong was my favorite game.

Super duper close... it's Gangsters 2. I mentioned it in my last post.
Anyway, you're turn.
(Gangsters 2 was much better because it had the semblance of an actual game.)

Caesar III?
It's probably not it because for some reason whenever I try recall the name, Rome: Total War pops into my head.

Oh wow. I used to play it on my grandfather's old laptop when I was a kid.
Everyone and their mom should know what this game is. It's a classic:

Ok we'll try this one:
I don't know how hard this is, but if you've played it you'll know what it is. This screenshot was taken not too long after starting a new game. I blackened out part that I thought would give it away or make it easy to find the game doing a simple google search.

Heaven and hell? I am stumped there.
I should have gone all out on rygar for I had that game myself.
I'm back after an all too long hiatus.
Real life sure knows how to intervene.

Yeah, I'm here. If you want a hint its a sequel - i guess you could say. So 'II' is in the title. Oh, and its a PC game. If people are still stumped after a while, I will tell you what I blackened out as another hint.
