actually if mafia are skimming, which is typical, it may have been missed... that is before you brought attention to it. If a townie sees a hint, he needs to note it and move on, not mention it!!!

A UCA lynch only tells us something inasmuch as it reflects on Wisse, but enough people are pissed at UCA right now that the mafia wouldn't really stand out from the pissed townies.

Now that you mention it, the purple lightning has been suspiciously absent. Part of me wants to give him a pass given all the other mafia games he's in, but he's been busy before and has always posted regularly.

QFE. I share xenhu's dismay at trestain's divulging of info. The heat wasn't on him, just an FOS. So for him to divulge the color, especially when wicked asked minkish (not tres), was not a good call.

I don't buy the skimming thing. It's become an article of faith that all mafia skim. Well, maybe the bad ones do. Trestain's doctor code in the last game (or senfive's tipoff to supercram about his double voter status) would be a good example: everyone freaked out on him for hinting, he freaked out on everyone for drawing attention to it, meanwhile the mafia (yours truly in that game) saw the clue to begin with and laughed out loud. Yeah, maybe someone skimming wouldn't have picked up on his clue, but someone paying even a modicum of attention would have. The trick with codes is to not only convey information, but to bury it so deeply in the text of the post that the mafia wouldn't even know that there was a code. Which, of course, is next to impossible. In my brief time playing these games, I've seen so many more hints go awry than find their mark that they should only be attempted by seasoned pros.

Sorry for the long post, but I was constrained in my ability to post this afternoon, and I won't be able to get back on until late tonight (300 on Imax, oh yeah).

WEll, I'm done reading the thread. About me not posting as much as I usually do there are too reasons, I've started an activity on Mon-Thur. that will not let me come on until 2 hours later. Also, I check the other mafia games here, due to the large amount of posts to handle compaired to the small amounts of the others. Also, when I get on the activity stops.

I think Minkish is acting very suspiciously and also making the game a bit less fun. HE should learn how to shut up. I also find AD suspicious there was no need to bring out the "hint" that Trestain did. Also, he hates it when people post parts of pms. Is there any more things he hates. He made 2 votes for things he hates, and I'm starting to think it's his way of trying to bandwagon.
