You tell that to the rest of the people who are breaking the rule in that thread as well then.wicked wrote:hey mafia genius (that's Mink for all the rest of you)....
I guess this rule is OK to be broken then???
So you decide which rules are ok to be broken, and which ones can't even be bent? (not that we're bending the rules, but that was your argument)hitman's mafia rule page wrote:All discussion takes place during the Day phase. ABSOLUTELY NO POSTING AT NIGHT,
go peddle your shit elsewhere mafioso.
Like I said, it wasn't terribly likely. Besides, it would be more of a long-term strategy, like if one of you got busted on day three, the other could say 'hey I suspected him/her back on day one but they fooled me' sort of thing. I'll shut up about that now.Master Bush wrote:I assure you this is just your brain's paranoia. Do you think if me and wicked were really mafia, we'd go to all that trouble of creating that, just to trick people? Why would we do that? Neither of us had a single vote against us. We would be the worst mafia ever if we did that.Incandenza wrote:(note: this next part comes from my brain's paranoia nexus)Plus, and this is dreadfully unlikely but worth mentioning, but that whole do-si-do you and MB had last night felt a little weird, like maybe both of you are mafia and staged a lice little charade on our behalves. Like I said, tho, not terribly likely. Then again, you two are pretty much the most experienced players on this side of the bracket.
Fair enough. It's just that the WC is probably the most valuable piece of information we have right now, and it should definitely be employed judiciously.wicked wrote:you're right Incans... I got on a role and just kept going...lol. I've yet to ask anyone their actual WC, so it still might be usable. That "don't say anything" speech was mainly for the noobs and peeps I hadn't played with before, of which there are a lot in this game.
I agree, but I'm still not completely sold on minkish. Then again, if I'm going to wait for a smoking gun, we might be here for awhile.wicked wrote:At this point, I don't think we're rushing a vote. We have two more real days, and as infrequently as some of you are coming on, it's time to vote.
BTW, where is Fircola?
Voting for UCA Bears will tell us NOTHING at this point. We need to go for a lynch we can learn something from.
True, but there comes a point where no new information is really being dumped into the system, and this whole thread becomes a weird echo chamber where the smallest think becomes suspicious and one's mind can turn paranoid... viz., the top of this post.wicked wrote:And lastly, just because it's day 1 doesnt' mean we can't learn as much as possible, after all, we had like 10 days!!
QFE. I share xenhu's dismay at trestain's divulging of info. The heat wasn't on him, just an FOS. So for him to divulge the color, especially when wicked asked minkish (not tres), was not a good call.XenHu wrote:Trestain, why the f*ck did you do that?trestain wrote:MB and all else it would be wrong to lynch an ordinary crewman
You did that 'hint' thing last time and it didn't work. So why are you trying it again.
FOS:Trestain
I don't buy the skimming thing. It's become an article of faith that all mafia skim. Well, maybe the bad ones do. Trestain's doctor code in the last game (or senfive's tipoff to supercram about his double voter status) would be a good example: everyone freaked out on him for hinting, he freaked out on everyone for drawing attention to it, meanwhile the mafia (yours truly in that game) saw the clue to begin with and laughed out loud. Yeah, maybe someone skimming wouldn't have picked up on his clue, but someone paying even a modicum of attention would have. The trick with codes is to not only convey information, but to bury it so deeply in the text of the post that the mafia wouldn't even know that there was a code. Which, of course, is next to impossible. In my brief time playing these games, I've seen so many more hints go awry than find their mark that they should only be attempted by seasoned pros.wicked wrote:actually if mafia are skimming, which is typical, it may have been missed... that is before you brought attention to it. If a townie sees a hint, he needs to note it and move on, not mention it!!!
It was a good case, it's not like it was a 1 word post.wicked wrote:FOS Fircola for jumping on and FOSing me very quickly after MB posted.

Yeah, apologies to those that don't like the Role PM method of playing. I fall into that category as well and forgot to post the vanilla role PM in the rules. It wouldn't be fair to change the rules mid game, but rest assured I will not forget (often) in the future.wicked wrote:sorry Mink, it's how we play here, helps get us going the first day. if the mods didn't like it, they'd publish the WC's and vanilla role descriptions, as I've seen done in games elsewhere.

You people need to learn who says what in posts before you start bullshitting... XenHu said that, not I...Fircoal wrote:WEll, I'm done reading the thread. I think Minkish is acting very suspiciously and also making the game a bit less fun. HE should learn how to shut up. I also find AD suspicious there was no need to bring out the "hint" that Trestain did. Also, he hates it when people post parts of pms. Is there any more things he hates. He made 2 votes for things he hates, and I'm starting to think it's his way of trying to bandwagon.

Oh sorry, I find XenHu suspicious for that. But also AD, you've said you hated 2 things. I think if you pull that again, it's just a cover. But maybe it's not since, I messed up on the names.Anarkistsdream wrote:You people need to learn who says what in posts before you start bullshitting...
