Turtle So... er... Monkey Business Sort of Annual Awards

So, in the interest of relieving boredom, I'd like to create an awards... um... thread... regarding all things fora.
Anyway, I'd like to take some ideas on categories. Here are my initial thoughts:
- Most read poster (you see this person has posted and you want to read it) - gottonkaed comes to mind
- Funniest poster (King Herpes is automatically disqualified)
- Poster most likely to claim he/she was abducted by aliens
- Lamest Flamer (not a real flamer, because that's illegal)
- Best Flamer (sultan already has the award locked up)
- Most likely to go off topic - I love her, but Player has this one locked up
- Troll of the Year
- Best linker
- Funniest (not necessarily the best) moderator
If you could please provide some more ideas for "awards" within the next week. At that point, I'll compile a list of awards and then call for nominations. Once I get nominations, I'll do a poll for each award.
In related news, I know I'm not Mr. Forum Guy, so if someone has a problem with me doing this, that's fine, we can find someone else.
Thanks,
TGD

Looking at the year as a whole, I've got to go with JimmyJamMa for the funniest poster award.

Interesting, I would have picked him for most likely to claim to be abducted by aliens.

How bout the "least likely to concede" award?

I see not much has changed. The problem is she's so damn likable it makes disagreeing with her even tougher. Is Snorri still telling people he's involved with Dutch health care?

Welcome back?
No, Snorri wins "most likely to dismiss a post because the poster is GabonX/hapsmo/jay" or "most likely to type 'you're an idiot/you're a bigot/i hate you"

Herpes wins like 4 of those categories. I really am a fan of his. Not THAT big of a fan though... I don't want to contract anything...
Insom is indirectly the funniest moderator, just because of all the innuendo directed towards her. But how many of you know her real name? Eh? I'm a shameless Facebook creeper.
Best flamer would be either PLAYER or tonka. They just beat you down with paragraph after paragraph, source after cited source, until you feel unworthy of posting for fear of your humble opinion being so thoroughly slaughtered.

That's not flaming that's...that's like the Mongols overrunning everyone. They just pulverize you with reality until you're simply frozen in submission.

Quite. Sultan wins at flaming without a doubt. If Dancing Mustard were still around he'd win by default.

There should be a "most modest poster". I nominate me.

You could win the 'wittiest' category.
I'm good for a lame flame.

Jones wins the "punniest poster" award.
Sultan's flames don't contain much substance (I guess flames usually don't). He is rather consistent with every post being some kind of flame though. Maybe he wins just because when I read his posts, I almost invariably say "wow, f*ck you", so his flaming succeeds.

I tend to agree. For my money, the flamer who does so without all the expletives and obvious insults is a far better flamer. Sultan's just consistently boring is all.

Some of these people need to start preparing their acceptance speeches when you put together your awards show, greek. There is going to be an awards show, right? May I suggest Timminz or Neoteny to host the event?
We could call it
The Greekies

Actually, I think I would like jonesthecurl to host.
Maybe Timminz and Jay can come out together to present an award. That would be fun.

OK, it's at my place. I'll provide food*, tickets are $100 dollars each, proceeds to my favourite charity (The jonesthecurl foundation, cheques made out to "Cash").
*PS that's a good thing
