spoils probability

This doesn't make much of a difference for escalating, nuclear, and no spoils, but it does for flat spoils. I just played a flat spoils game and learned that a mixed set is worth 10, a red one 4, a green one 6, and a blue one 8. Now does anyone know about spoils probabilities? Is it all just random? Or are blue's rarer? Or are they only rarer on flat spoils? And can two people have a spoil card of the same country?

Whenever a card is drawn there are equal chances of it being every color. Even if a card of the same name was drawn with a different color previously.

3 cards:

Set 1/3
Mixed 2/9
Blue 1/27
Green 1/27
Red 1/27

4 Cards:
Set 7/9

Cant be bothered thinking any further than that.

4 Cards:
Chance of a set if you did not have a set at 3 cards: 2/3 (1/3 mixed set, 1/3 same color set)

5 Cards: you can hand in 1 set

I once did the calculation for 6 and 7 cards, with 7 cards it's quite unlikely not to have 2 sets if I remember correctly. With 8 you definately have 2 sets again.

Two different players can have a card of the same territory? I've never taken someone out and ended up with two cards of the same one maybe.

That's an escalating game. The first set, no matter what color it is, gets 4 troops, the next one gets 6 troops and it keeps on going up. In a flat rate game, all sets of the same color are worth the same amount.
