Question.

Captain Falcon. Packs the heavy punch like DK without having the long wind-up, but yet has the speed to go up against most others.
Plus, how many othe SSB characters have internet memes based on their moves?

Talk about back in the day! I can't remember who i played this with or where i played it but i use to play it all the time, i didn't even own it, at some buddies houses... but kirby was the bomb in this game.

As far as awesome factor goes Captain Falcon as far as who I used the most in that game Ness. That was back when Ness was the best character.

Donkey Kong was the King, I'd like to win battles with him on stock just by picking someone up on their last life then walking off the cliff with them in a sui mission.

Fox McCloud and Link for a close second.

the actual best character was pikachu. the game was horribly imbalanced playing anyone who knew how to use him. fortunately for me, i did!

Not true at all! Pikachu is my best character, but it's a bitch to play against someone who knows how to play with Ness. Fucking bitch always hits you first in the air.

The wonderful thing about the game is that the characters are all very well balanced. Even the ones most people think suck, like Jigglypuff or Yoshi, can be beastly if you just know how to use them.

Kirby hands down.

I stomped many a fool who thought that little pink cute-ball of...Ballness was a weak guy. Samus came in second.

I played Kirby as a kid... the community nowadays agrees that Pikachu is best, then Fox, then Kirby.

Yeah, imagine how I felt. "Oh I'm totally gonna own you with kirby!" Nope. I got my assed handed to me.

Then I find out Link is my best character.

Link was pretty pwn.
Fox was also pretty fucking good, but got better in Melee.

I would have to go with Captain Falcon though.
