Yeah, sorry... it's a really great update. I've already used it (without intending to use it... which kind of proves the point).

i voted to free DM, since the giant bold red letters followed by an exclamation point have thus far helped me avoid clicking on the wrong button.

This is a dumb poll. And if you click on that button thinking it's the forum when "NEW!" is highlighted in red, then you really should pay just teensy bit better attention.

I don't think when clicking, that's the point. I just go up to the top/center of the screen and click. I'm an intelligent, useful human being and I've done it at least 5 times today. In sum, shut up.

come on, you know this is the solution to all the traffic problems, AKA unpopular aspects of the site!! just move it around, reshuffle it and the people will come! don't forget when the GD was moved down below the foundry because the new guys in charge figured out that people didn't go to the foundry because it was lower on the board index!! we never did get those traffic results as promised after the move had significant time to shake out true numbers. come on, you know that tournaments are now going to be even MORE popular amongst the entire CC Community because it has a BIG BUTTON!!!

EXACTLY, that's the whole point. Tournaments are awesome and they deserve their own button

now some complete idiot is gonna say that nobody voted that they like the tournament button where it is. Well that's obviously because the dumass who started this page didn't even put it as an option. If you want to prove that the majority thinks this is retarded, the first step is a place to answer for either side

I like it and thats all that matters. When my premium runs out I plan on sliding over to the tourney area instead of playing games. So it helps me more.

Do I think you're right? Yes.
Does the tournament button thread have more to do with CC than the Owenshooter thread? Yes.
Do I think you're making a big deal out of something stupid? Yes.

There's no way they make me a mod, c'mon. I don't know anything about the internet or computers and I pretty much only post in Monkey Business.

So, basically, it's okay for everyone else to have fun and post silly threads except for me.

That thread was of the same type as half the other joke threads in this forum. How about all of the extraneous or self-aggrandizing ones? How is that any different?

I'm not making a big deal out of something stupid.

This just reinforces that the mods thrive on controversy and absolutely play favorites. They'd rather have a hundred threads of people complaining about something stupid, then making light of something harmless.

My thread gets split and sent to Off-Topics, but a guy like jefjef can make a thread gloating about someone's demise in General Discussion, and that's okay? How is what I posted detrimental to the site, and what he does not? I'm adding a bit of humor to things. No where in that thread did I slam anyone, or even the decision to put the Tournaments button where it is (of course, no one can see that I said it makes sense to put it where it went, because Andy had to move the thread).

Here's that thread jefjef made. Tell me, why wasn't any mod action taken on that?

Actually, first time I read your initial post, I thought I had accidentally pushed 'flame wars'. It was quite different from normal 'general discussion' posts.

But then again, I kinda mispressed the forum-link a few times already, and this was so over-the-top that I forgot my initial annoyance with the new location. Thanks.
