Under what situations do you guys think it is accepbable or unacceptable to rate someone a deadbeat?
Obviously, if someone gets kicked out of the game, I assume you should rate them a deadbeat. But what if they just miss a turn or two? Does it matter whether or not they give an explanation or apology?

i would only rate someone a deadbeat if they miss 3 turns and get kicked or they stop playing their turns when it is obvious they will lose

i have this argument going on in a c and a post where i cant get a straight awnser as to why this is the case because acording to king sam and lv if you mark somone a deadbeat when they have not missed 3 shots it will be noted as ratings abuse.
myself i see a deadbeat as somone that is a total waste of time examples below
1)someone that misses with no explanation or appology for the miss
2)abusive
3)suicider
now i think also the 3 miss thing do we not have a quitter tag for this because that is what they are doing quiting the game by missing.

a deadbeater is someone who misses three turns in a row and gets kicked out of the game. that's it. missing a turn and not explaining yourself is a minor offense on the bad etiquette scale, and it's not deadbeating.

yes, we have a tag for quitter. i would use that if someone was otherwise online and purposely not taking turns in the games. i would also use quitter along with suicider if they were purposely losing troops and throwing the game.

I define deadbeat as missing three turns in a row. A quitter would be someone who realizes that they won't win a game and stops taking their turns while taking turns in other games.

For me,
1 missed turn- no change
2 missed turns- -2 stars on Gameplay
3 missed turns- 1 star on gameplay, deadbeat tag

lol good awnser es but this explination sounds like somone who d/beats(in your words) a game. if they were not online how can you call them that because they might of had an emergency or crash

visit the game log of other games, if he has taken turns in the 3 day period you know he just quit playing. its easy to prove if he plays more then one game

there is no arguement going on. LV and myself have both explained to you what deadbeat means.
The definition of deadbeat is missing 3 consecutive turns and getting kicked from a game. Quite simple.
Missing a turn here or there would work for a number of tags: slow, rude, cheap
But deadbeat is deadbeat, missing 3 turns consecutive and getting kicked from the game.
It is widely documented as such in C&A and the Closed reports and will hopefully be an update on the ratings rules page.
