I just installed Starcraft II and got it running, and I was able to use WINE to run it on Linux. My CC games are going to suffer... Are your CC games going to suffer?

I don't play that many anymore, so no.

In other news, Empire Total War has been marked down to $20.

Age of Empires II is finally down to $10 after 10 years. Probably the game I've logged the most hours in other than perhaps Morrowind.

I have two copies of Age of Empires II.
Oh man, that game was ridiculous.
In the most awesome way possible.

I don't even play Starcraft because just about everyone else is better than me lol. But I have to admit it's exciting that a new version is coming out.

You forgot the option: I think this is actually just a thinly veiled advertisement for Starcraft II.

It is sad to see that after 35 games in 5 months on CC though, that you wont be able to keep up that rigorous pace. I hope CC survives it. If you cut them in half, youll be at 3.5 per month, instead of the 7 youve been pushing out currently. Are you sure Starcraft is worth cutting back that much on?

I didnt think it was worth losing one game on CC myself. Poor graphics, snot nosed kids playing stupid...I quit after one day of sheer silliness. If they had only named it "starcrap II", at least Id have been prepared.

What. This shows what I know.

I missed Starcraft 2, Starcraft 3, Starcraft 4, Starcraft 5, Starcraft 6, Starcraft 7, Starcraft 8, Starcraft 9, and Starcraft 10.

I might as well just bail on the whole "I can't wait for the Starcraft sequel" idea. I'm so far behind.

Anyone who's played the game know if it's worth buying?

I'm just getting used to it right now. I played a couple me vs. computer maps and the gameplay was better than I expected. The campaign seems okay, nothing special of course I'm only a few levels into the Campaign. I think that it will be the multiplayer where Starcraft will shine the most. Supposedly Blizzard has worked hard to make a system that matches players with equal skills. If so then that means no getting crushed in 30 seconds by South Koreans. I have enjoyed it so far. I also enjoy that the games will typically last only 30 minutes.

Frankly, I have been waiting for Starcraft II to come out ever since they shut down the MSN gaming zone Age of Empires II service (like 4 years ago now). I haven't been able to find an RTS worth my time since. I wish someone would re-make AoEII, update the engine and the graphics and maybe add a few new units.

Anyone interested in playing some sc2 games tonight? My battlenet email is GeneralC.Integrity@gmail.com

Ouch... Sorry but I enjoy RTS games more than I do RISK games. Just a personal preference. Plus 35 games for me isn't too shabby all things considered. 8-)

I'm not sure if I want this game.

How close is it to Warcraft III compared to the other Starcraft? Starcraft I was fun, but Warcraft III and I were in love.

Thanks for the warning.

Hahaha!

Do you really think fitz played Starcraft 2?

Or maybe he was just posting a fake negative review to counter what he was claiming could be a veiled advertisement to generate interest in the game...

On another note: Lovo, it's pretty awesome how you were able to conclude that the game was "average" after playing it for less that a week. It indicates that you prefer simple games with a very short learning curve.

Now before you go assuming that I am defending the game, that isn't it. I won't be playing that game until the price drops (if I ever play the game). I'm just pointing out that you really didn't understand AAFitz's post.

And you know what they say about people living in glass houses....
