bookmark doesn't work

When I select the "Bookmark" option at the bottom of a thread, the thread does not show up in my bookmarks or anywhere else. I am using FireFox.
My first guess would be is that the forum software allows you to make a bookmark (which can be retrieved somewhere in the forum), but it's not a browser bookmark.
