Why so interested in one set of college records, but not another??? Why a small state senator, but not the president of the country?

I don't know anything about her college records...but I don't need to know about them to know she's a freaking wack-job. I cannot believe she was elected.
How is she a whack job?
Christine O'Donnell is a hard-core Bible-thumper. And I mean that term in the very worst possible sense. She has made the statement that masturbation is equivalent to adultery. She made the statement that since the Bible and prayer were taken out of our public schools, we have had weekly school shootings (which certainly is not true). She has actively advocated that creationism be taught in our public schools as well as the statement that evolution is not scientific.
Now as to her college record...Despite her claims beginning in 2006 on her Senate campaign website that she was a Farleigh Dickinson graduate, she in fact did not recieve a diploma from that university until 2010. She has claimed to have been accepted into a Princeton Masters Degree program when the fact was that at that time she had still not even received a Bachelors Degree from Farleigh Dickinson, making her statement of acceptance there a lie. She had, at that point, completed one non-graduate class at Princeton...maybe that's all it took.
Re: Paragraph 1
CO's beliefs on masturbation (in 1996):
+ "Masturbation is a selfish act," said the group's marketing director. O'Donnell cautioned that anyone who masturbates is "toying with his sexuality." She concluded: "You're going to be pleasing each other. And if he already knows what pleases him, and he can please himself, then why am I in the picture?"
+ "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action." "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose."
+ "the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved."
Her logic is sound and even if I don't subscribe to her belief system, I'm not going to hold it against her that she has some sort of moral fortitude to speak out about what she believes. None of that makes her a whack job as you put it.
- Regarding creationism being taught in public school; I only like it taught as theory along with the theory of evolution. I don't think either theory is proven and neither theory should be promoted ahead of the other. You can find it a little wacky if you want (assuming that's her stance). But if that's the measure then there's more than plenty of politicians that are wack-jobs. In any event its such a small issue that I could almost care less. Creationism vs. Evolution has and probably never will be a defining issue for myself when it comes to voting for a US Senator and really it's only the wack-job fringe on both sides that make it an issue (or any politcal hack that wants to make it an issue).
- Regarding school shootings - “We took the Bible and prayer out of public schools, and now we're having weekly shootings practically,” - She did not say there were weekly shootings. And that statement does not bother me and in fact good for her for saying it. BTW - That statement was in 98 if that matters to the context (could be the year of Columbine off the top of my head).
Re: Parargraph 2
If you look at her wiki page you'll see that she attended her college graduation ceremony as early as 93, which means she was close enough to graduation to walk the stage. There was some sort of debt issue between 1994-2003. When she competed her final course in 2010 she was officially awarded the awarded her a bachelor's degree in English literature with a concentration in Communication. I don't know if that means she had graduated w/o the concentration earlier or not. I think it's a gray issue at this point though and if her opponent wants to make an issue of it then we'll find out more.
I don't see anything on Wiki about Princeton but if you post a link I'll give it a look-see.

So you've tried to give her a shakedown and reduce her to nut job status based on skewing her social positions and ignoring her sound economic positions. Congratulations you would be a great Democratic strategist.
Now let's look at the
marvelous things that she stands for:
- She opposes earmarks. Earmarks are BS and we all know it. The political corruption via earmarks is insane and I'll bet you that her establishment opponent isn't taking that tough stand. Opposing earmarks is a tough stand to take too, because automatically it negates potential campaign contributions from companies and individual donors that feed off of earmarks. It's a bold and courageous stance.
- Blocking cap and trade legislation will be one of her first priorities. Good! Cap and trade is flat out wrong for America!
- A politician that doesn't believe in blank checks - "Voting to spend money we don't have has become the appealing option for too many politicians. The men and women of America know this is not sustainable."
- O'Donnell has said the first thing she wants to do when elected is to vote to repeal the health care legislation enacted by Congress in 2010. Good! America didn't want it and Congress smugly said in your face we're passing in anyways! F that.
- Taxes: She has pledged not to increase taxes.
- Obama's socialism - She has had no problem calling a spade a spade. I don't believe her opponent will be that savvy and instead be an Obama apologist.
