Go post in German here, where you have a better chance of being understood.

If you are so smart why did you pick an option that you did not list? I see option 1 & option 1

The smartest people realize that the names of things are incidental and unimportant.

Man oh man I found this out. While in Spain on leave with a bunch of my military buddies we were shooting pool in a bar. The World Cup was playing and being ignorant Americans we didn't give a shit about some damn soccer game. Well the pool table just so happened to be right in front of the TV which seemed to get the local Football nuts a little upset. After a few words in several different languages a brawl broke out and thank god the owner, his wife, and son where able to break it up before the cops showed up. In Spain the cops pretty much beat your ass then take you to the station for questioning. Once everybody calmed down we got to know each other. I'm talking Italians, British, Germans, Spaniards, and Americans. This turned out to be a fortunate thing and something I'll never forget. The five of us "Americans" proceeded to get an education on the European version of football. Over the next 5 days this little bar became our hang out and we met some very cool people. By day two they would yell out our names when we walked in and drinks would come out of nowhere. Even with a language barrier a common respect formed.

You will never hear me refer to it as "soccer" .
