I picked this name because I am currently watching Die Hard With a Vengeance and the movie is based on Simon Says. So you can thank Bruce Willis for this one.
This will be a 25 Player Multi Round Tournament in which most everything will be decided by Simon.
Who is Simon? When you request entry into this Tournament, please select a number between 1 and 25. I have a preselected number. Whoever gets it right is Simon. As members sign up I will post their name and number. If you pick a number that is already picked, I will send you a PM and ask you to select a new number. Note there are 25 numbers to chose from and 25 Players. In the unlikely event that no one picks the preselected number, I will be Simon in Round 1.
Why is being Simon important? Simon gets to pick the Map and Settings for each game in each Round. There could be a new Simon for each Round.
Each Player will be Randomly assigned to a Group of 5 Players. There will be 5 Groups. Once Simon picks the Map and Settings, all Groups will play a Game on that Map with those settings. Whoever wins their game first will become Simon in the next Round. To determine who wins first, I will first look at which Round you won in, if there is a Tie, I will look at how long into your 24 hour turn that you won. I doubt there will be a Tie. If there is, I will Randomly select the next Simon.
The Player in each Group who wins 3 Games first will advance to the Finals. Since there are 5 Players in each Group, it could take 11 Games to get one Player to 3 wins. So this could take a while. As soon as one Player reaches 3 Wins, that Group will not be issued any more games.
The Finals will consist of 5 Players. Each Player will pick a number between 1 and 5, whoever picks the right number becomes Simon. Again, Simon picks the Map and Settings. This Group of 5 Players will play one game at a time until one Player wins 3 Games. That Player will win the Tournament.
Below are the choices that Simon will have to make each Round:
Map: Any Map can be used. Each map can only be used 1 time during the entire Tournament. No Randoms.
Game Type: Standard, Terminator, Assassin - In a Terminator Game, the last Player standing Wins.
Initial Troops: Any
Play Order: Seq
Spoils: Any
Reinforcements: Any
Fog of War: Any
Round Limit: 20 Rounds
Round Length: 24 Hours
Group assignments will be made using http://www.Random.org/.
Since each Player will only play one Game at a time, all Players are welcomed to join. To the Freemium Players, this Tournament could take a while, so please make sure you can commit the time that will possibly be needed before you join. There is no minimum Rank Requirement, but you must have completed 50 games. You must have at least a 97% Attendance Record. If you are under 97% or have less than 50 games, I reserve the right to allow you to play if I know you or you convince me there will not be an issue. No one under 95% will be accepted.
