there is also a 5 point bonus for taking the pole position

1. there will be two games played for each race. each with 8 players. one game will be lane 1, and the other game will be lane 2
2. there will be two qualifying games played before each race. initially each player will be randomly placed into a game. once a score has been logged, then it will go off of the scoreboard. the top 8 players will go in a qualifying game, and the bottom 8 will go into the other.
3. the last 4 players eliminated in each qualifying game will go into lane 1. the first 4 eliminated in each of the qualifying games will be in lane 2
4. once the qualifying game has ended, the race will start. this will be a new game. so there will be essentially 4 games for each race. each player will play in two of them. a qualifying race that gets no points unless you win the pole ( more on this below ) and then the actual race. this is where the points come from. to win the race you have to win the lane 1 game.
5. you can not win the race in lane 2. only those in lane 1 have a chance to win the race. but each race everyone has a chance to get into lane 1 by playing the qualifying games.
6. lane 1 scoring order is determined by what order you leave the game.

7. only one player can win the pole. since there are two players to win a qualifying race each map, i'll need to do a tiebreak. this will be determined by

• 1. least rounds it took to win.
  2. number of players eliminated
  3. remaining armies
  4. if there is still a tie, i'll just flip a coin.

after some thought, i've decided to change this to a 1v1 game on the current map. this should be a better way to give out the 5 points. pm was sent to all players and there were no objections.
