• Overview

• • Face off in a series of wintery 1v1s to earn snowballs and pummel your opponents into the snow!
  • The last person standing (that is, the last person with a life left) wins.

• How It Works

• • Each player is given three "lives" represented by a cute little snowman: ☃
  • You lose a life when you are hit with a snowball.
  • You can receive exactly one snowball per round by winning one of no more than two 1v1 games. See below for specifics on rounds.
    • NOTE: If you play less than one or more than two 1v1 games in a round, you forfeit your chance of receiving a snowball and lose a life. If this becomes a recurring issue, you will be ejected from the tournament.
  • Once the announcement is made that all games in a round have been completed, PM sempaispellcheck the game number(s) of the game you won and the player you wish to hit with your snowball with the title of your PM as "Snowball". See below for specifics on throwing snowballs.
    • NOTE: You must send the PM within 72 hours of the announcement.
  • If you are hit three times with snowballs (thereby losing all of your lives) you are eliminated from the tournament and may not participate in any future rounds.

• Rounds & Settings

• • All games will have a Round Limit of 20 and be Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Sunny.
  • Round 1 maps: Christmas, Greenland, Woodboro (It's winterized!)
  • Round 2 maps: Christmas, Arctic, Age of Realms 2: Magic
  • Round 3 maps: Christmas, Northwest Passage, Nordic Countries
  • Round 4 maps: Christmas, Antarctica, Iceland
  • Each subsequent round will rotate through the lists above.

• Throwing Snowballs

• • When you receive a snowball, you may throw it at anyone. However, your odds of hitting someone are different depending on who you want to hit.
  • If you throw a snowball at a player you beat in a game that round, you have a 6 in 7 chance of hitting the player.
  • If you throw a snowball at a player you lost to in a game that round, you have a 4 in 7 chance of hitting the player.
  • If you throw a snowball at a player you did not play against that round, you have a 5 in 7 chance of hitting the player.
  • The results of the snowball throwing will be announced before the start of the next round, and all snowball throws will remain anonymous until then.

• Prizes

• • The winner will receive 6 months of premium membership and a General Achievement medal, awarded by the Entertainment Team.
  • Runners-up (i.e. all of those that make it to the final round) will also receive a General Achievement medal.

• The winter soon faded,

  It was Christmas in July!

• But this summer miracle
  Could not last forever
  So the snow soon gave way
  To more summery weather.
  Though the last snow had melted,
  The warriors knew
  There had to be some way
  Their fight could continue.
  Then one thought of something
  He had once learned in school:
  "While in New York it's hot,
  In Sydney it's cool!"
  So, while the birds all flew northward
  The cold to avoid,
  These brave souls fled southward
  The snow to enjoy.
  And each of them channeled
  His inner Olympic sprinter
  As he raced to the airport
  Headed south...for the winter!
