Just noticed that a new recruit (sdtronrud; finished 1 game) in one of my games is playing in over 200 active games.

Talk about squeezing out value for a premium account.

Hes actually in 232 games at the moment, and its his turn in 189 of them... Do we have another simtom on our hands?

I think the most I've had active was about 30. I try to keep it to less than 20 though.

lightweight! had 58 once, couldnt keep up. found a good level at 30ish.

Well I think we are about to hit a record for most games deadbeated simultaneously... I don't think it is possible to keep up with that many games!

Assuming it takes 3 minutes a turn, and he needs to make 1 turn a day in each game, he would be taking his turns for 12 hours a day without interruption...

With that in mind, I think there should be a cap on active games even with premium accounts. Perhaps there are a handful of people who'd be pissed because they are prepared to devote that much time to playing. However, it seems logical to weigh the enjoyment of the many (ie: not having to deal with momos who join so many games they can't keep up and end up wasting everyone's time) against the enjoyment of the few (the 2 or 3 people who literally have no life outside of CC and intend to actually make all those moves.

I can't imagine needing to have more than 50 or so games going at once (and have never even come close even at my worst). I think I've maxed out around 15 or 20.

Have to agree 100 per cent. Even if you did intend playing them all you would be using more than your fair share of resources. Come on lack lets have a cap at 50.

I've got about 30 games on the go... at 3 minutes a move that would be 1 1/2 hours a day... but I take nowhere near that...

Because I only move in each game once every 3 or 4 days.

Thus his 12 hours of playing could be spread out over upto 6 days if all his games are 6 player sequential... especially with Deadbeats...

That's only 2 hours a day...

At worst I think it'll only be 4 hours a day - and that's if he plays in each game once every 3 days.

i'd think an IP check is in order. there is something wrong with this guy. a noob w/ one completed game decides to start 200+ games at once? it's fucking dugcarr, isn't it?

also, the cap on games is an utterly ridiculous idea. aren't we all sort of self-policing on this? if you can't handle 50, don't join 'em. we don't need a new rule b/c of one ignorant douchebag.

About half his games are freestyle !!!!

Fair play if he can take all his turns, but i doubt it !

but surely you can't study them and create tactics for that many. I normally have between 10 and 15 and when i'm not playing i can still think about tactics and surely get more satisfaction out of fewer quality games.

You're one of the the oldest members of this site, you claim to have played 200 games at once, and you're only at 450 total?

i dont think there should be a max for games but if they had one it should be at like 100, not 50 i keep my games at between 40 and 60 and i have dial up connection and i can keep up easy. only actually 1 hr- 1 1/2 hrs to do my turns each day and i only play sequential which makes it easier

to the guy who said 50 games total, you obviously don't play games often, do you?
I have 39 going right now, but I have 84 recently finished, and will be starting more this weekend!
