I think if a new recruit is premium they can join team games. I took a look and the three in your game and 1 more are playing some games together. The four are:
testmonkey
doublstuff
blackbird2150
billiard84
Could be a bunch of friend who all joined and got premium right away.

Team Deadbeats
Deadbeats are always a pain in the butt, but they are particularly troublesome in team games. They give regular partners an big advantage over opponents that play with strangers. Since 80% of team deadbeats are New Recruits, the community has reached a consensus to require newbies to earn their first promotion before playing in doubles or triples. Open public team games are now filtered out of Join A Game and Game Finder results for New Recruits.
This is really a band-aid solution, and a proper training program is needed to prevent newbies from deadbeating by letting them know what they are getting themselves into when they join the club. There will be more on that in future updates.
To further ease the blow of a deadbeat teammate, a surviving partner will inherit the cards as well as the armies.
This is cut and pasted from Lack's update post. I see nothing that says it distinguishes between premium or not.....

Honestly most of them have higher scores than most of the players that join my games against me. I'm not bitching I want to know why? Is that so bad wtf we all must follow the rules, I'm just wondering if and why this one was broken for me?

I guess they made an exception for you mate. Look at it this way - Lack believes you to be special!

If he wanted me to feel special he could have just added 1000 points to my account!

getting points is part of the fun of playing for me.......but anyway, we are getting off topic and the suspense is killing me, i'm still so curious, no one thinks this is a bit odd? If others had new recruits in their public team games wouldn't this look more like a flame thread with everyone telling me to "GFY" and such? I mean what is next? Will i wake up tomorrow and find my avatar has changed to David Hasselhunk with a

next to my name and a 1000 points in my pocket???? .......

Tycoon- the reason to not allow new recruits to join team games was because new recruits are the most likely to deadbeat. And having a deadbeat partner can often lose you a game from the start.
However, if someone buys premium membership, chances are they will be sticking around (instead of joining 4 games and then never taking a turn because they couldn't play instantly). Since premiums have already shown a committment to the site, they are allowed to join team games. It might not be stated in lacks first post of the announcements but I know I saw it elsewhere on the site.

I agree with it...you cough up the 20, you should be able to play some dubs right away...I may not want them to be my partner quite yet...but it really would be unfair to make them wait...

Sully, none of the new recruits in his game are premium.

Well, one is a software developer and the others joined around the same time, 3 days later to be exact. Heres my theory: they work together at a software/hacking development place and then hacked the system. It fits all of the clues.

The problem here is the coding...
At present the games are not shown to you if you are a new recruit...
However I doubt there is any checking behind the link...
If they knew the number of a game to join then they would easily be able to concoct the join game URL...
So I believe this is technically a bug - the code for joining a game should check if the completed games >5 before allowing access.

The games are just filtered from how they'd normally join a game. They're not restricted (at this time).

well that doesn't really fix the problem does it? hmmm oh and already the new recruit missed his first turn lmao.......so can't you guys just wipe that game out? or do you want it there so you can investigate more? just zap it if you can or want to I have no problem with that, even if they do deadbeat and give me their points lol just get rid of it

These guys were given a link to join another game, which apparently had the wrong game number. Sorry, but we don't erase games.

unless I start a bunch with the intention of throwing them right?.....so basically what you are saying is that they were invited to a different game and were given my game # instead? and because they are only hidden and not restricted anyone with a game # can join a public game as long as they have the game #....... that's interesting........well I got my answers, thanks

This is obviously something we'll look into, and may restrict it in the future.

I still like my theory. It makes more sense than yours.
