Alliances/Clans [Outdated]

There's probably a topic about this but what's the story with these?? I'm new, so don't jump down my throat but how do you initiate...is there a certain etiquette to follow?

Look in callouts forum for clans. They are mostly just discussion groups. You can organize tournaments with them, but they are usually just for talking about a common interest that everyone in the group has (sports, etc.)
Only problem is that Lack stopped making new ones so you would have to join an old clan or an unofficial one.
EDIT: if you find a thread for a clan you like, make sure their rules allow you in (it will usually be explained on the first post if there are any rules) and then post asking to join. Some groups are limited to high ranked players, but most are open to everyone.

Clans/Confeds/Guilds/Usergroups will eventually be back up and going once we get a fully automated system.

Join the Region of Risk fans. It provides a friendly environtment where everyone is friends.

I highly recommend joining either Spamalot (unofficial clan) and/or The Rogue State (official). If you want me to put in a good word for ya, I'd be happy to.

Wow. You make one thread about clans and you have people all over you trying to get you to join theirs.

See that's not right to say for either of us because we've only been in the RORF but I gotta say I don't think I would ever leave it.
