this will be pretty straightforward.

you'll get 5 games with 3 other players (4 player standards).
for each game, matchups will be random.
these 5 games will go out all at once.

when all are complete, top 4 players with the most wins will advance.
any tiebreaks needed will be determined by total army count remaining from each game. even if you don't win and someone takes the objective, your troop counts from that game will still be counted. if by some weird scenario that doesn't produce four top spots, we'll then go by total rounds survived, followed by a single escalating game with all contested positions.

the 4 finalists, will then play 5 games together. most wins take the win. if needed a 6th sudden death game will determine the winner amongst the disputed positions.

settings = default +4 foggy/1 sunny +no spoils +30 round limit

i've thought of 2 scenerios that will not be clear with the rules posted.

#1 is less than 4 players get wins.

lets say there are only 3 or 2, or 1 players for that matter that gets the wins. that means it will not be a 4 player headsup match. only players with wins will move ahead.

#2 the wins from round 1 will not count in round 2.
