Restore This Old Rig

My Dad gave me this rig awhile ago. problem is, can't afford the money pit of something near my age, and my only means of transportation outside of my legs.
Issues that need to be fixed.
Immediate:
Motor - Good thing my Dad mentioned this thing is refurbished with only 200,000 miles...A decade ago. I can really only guess on how miles this motor has but it's probably the most concerning. I've only had it maybe 4 years, but it rides pretty rough.
Rear drive shaft - Now this is a tricky SOB. I snapped this late last year, the old man found one on market after hunting together but it's somehow longer than the previous. Probably because the year is iffy. It's a general nightmare. Installed it with the U-Joints but either the fucking thing is too long (I'm hoping) or the Yoke going into the transfer case is warped, and...Not a fun fix in this weather.
New Bow Assembly - This isn't urgent. It's a soft top to begin with so cold/wet weather is going to blow dick to begin with, that being said, it's so damn old that water damage is an issue to where it's breaking the radio, to where I have to listen to the sound of the wind. Or Mookies Erotic Novels about Saxi and Mrswdk/Ralph. I'd rather not. Personal gripe and not an immediate focus.
New Body Kit - This is more or less just a paint job. Just to say "Hey look! I'm purty! Don't violate me!" I've though about changing out the front end and rear end, but it would defeat the purpose I'm going for (IE: Just making my dad relive old memories).
Googling costs for what I am asking...
Motor - $2,000 USD roughly. I've never installed a motor myself, but...Done just about everything myself up to this point so f*ck it.
Drive Shaft - This is a cunt. I've seen it anywhere between $150 to $1000. A safe bet is $300 for a decent condition, given the age.
Bow Assembly - This is not including the soft top...Hopefully at least. If anyone looks this up. I've seen a kit run up to $500. I'm simply replacing the plastic where it seeds into the jeep, both in the doors, on top, etc. It should be included.
Why I'm asking for help:
1. I lack the funds.
2. My Dad, whether he likes to admit it or not, or myself, or my step mom, is nearing the end of his life. She came up to me earlier wishing for it to be restored. I can gather why...Probably a "One last romantic date." I'd like try to attempt it for them.
3. I'm the worlds greatest Risk player and I demand money.
4. Running out of reasons but the 1st two were geniuine.
5. This is socialism.
